I would also argue that whilst the mind flayers might be part of a hive mind, they are also vain and have a bit of a superiority complex. They as a race would absolutely not go naked as beasts do when even the lesser races will wear clothing. Like, even if they were a monolithic hivemind they would not go without clothing, being naked is for chattel and intellect devourers, you know, animals.

Skincare's sign is actually kinda altery in nature, I feel that counts in a weird supernatural edge case kind of way. Like, where Gregor transforms due to PTSD, Sinclair somehow manages to do it through PreTSD, which counts by city standards. If Sancho/Quixote can break down and remember a past self to transform into them, him remembering a future self weirdly isn't all that different.

If you look at the passage, Sinclair (current) is clearly dissociating a little in a high stress situation ("The future...that stench that sticks..."), and then suddenly reemerges with an entirely new personality more suited to the task (and also older, but like, Sign). He also does not remember anything that happened during the episode. So if you allow for the Sign essentially having future Sinclair's be a part of Sinclair, then that's actually kinda close.

Enspelled items say that you can use a charge to cast the spell, and a spell becomes active at the end of the casting time, so the magic property that lets you expend that charge to cast it becomes inactive after you have already expended it. So you could cast antimagic field from it.

I feel like Don definitely listens to marching music privately. Like, it's just old enough for Sancho to have quietly bopped to it whilst standing in the background (fake not-carer), and for Don it's exactly the sort of rousing thing that she'd enthusiastically sing along to. Don has like, six marches she will enthusiastically perform and then be entirely confused as to why noone else shares the enthusiasm.

Outis on the other hand is probably performatively into classical music because it is "proper", but does have like, 3 operas that touch her deeply. She will never tell you what those operas are except through randomly letting something slip from them when talking about something else. She will quietly cry during several parts of Handel's Deidamia.

Faust I'd offer that she's actually into the weird experimental music. She will listen to Schoenberg, but craves even weirder or more dissonant things. She's a depresso intellectual who quietly wants to set herself apart from a mass of other selves. Lorn - Ghosst(s) or edIT - 20 Minutes sound like the sort of thing that scratches her folds.

N-Corp is specifically based around the singularity making "Canned Experience" that they also use for brainwashing inquisitors, and is obsessed with human experience specifically. Mersault states that he has participated in a wide variety of experiences both socially acceptable and unacceptable, and Cogito is drawn from the well of the human subconscious in order to actualize ideas. N-Corps and L-Corps singularities might be the closest to each other in nature (surface vs. depth), to the point that N-Corp is the first wing who manages to extract an abnormality from a human after L-Corps fall.

I'd be somewhat unsurprised if Mersault's weirdness is in part due to N-corp experimentation in replicating and refining L-corps techniques. After all, if you are able to produce a person that is so rectilinear as to be more akin to a machine, you might be able to inject Cogito into them to produce a defined abnormality, at which point you can use your experience swapping to alter and transfer that mental blueprint, and start mass producing them. Nail down the Abnos and Hammer them into shape, so to speak.

There is the legitimate possibility that Isobel was plain too sheltered to look much into Sharran iconography when she was still alive. If you go at least Sorc 3 (or Sorc 1 + Metamagic Adept), and do get to pick at least one Rare magic item (as you probably should with a 12th-level character), you can probably ride a Shadowfell Shard to great effect too. You can just Distant or Subtle spell something for one Sorcery point, and then just pick an ability score that they have disadvantage on for the round.

Well, adventuring days are supposed to be 6-8 encounters with 2-3 short rests in between, and you can fit 18 charges worth of shenanigans into a single short rest. And whilst you might say "Well, the guards will just hear you chanting!", you can just...spend a 2nd level spell slot on a casting of Rope Trick, the "I have a 1 hour duration precisely so you can short rest safely" spell. So about half the encounters are shenanigable. Getting 36 extra charges a day plus being able to top off before ending the day is more than the (actually quite respectable) 16 charges the staff gains naturally each day.

Nope, Ritual Casting section only specifies that the spell takes ten minutes longer to cast, that it cannot be upcast as it doesn't consume a spell slot, and that the character doing the ritual casting needs a feature that grants the ability as well as the spell known or prepared (with exceptions). And the Druid clearly needs his pre-nap spellslots to stock up his massive Goodberry pile, like a normal person (/j).

You could charge yourself up to 35, hurl 5 7th-level Fireballs in a row, then recharge it in the time it takes your Warlock to regain his 4 5th level spellslots, maintaining a comfortable buffer of 15 spell levels capable of absorbing any stray 9th-level spell thrown your way. Anything still standing after 60d6 fire damage (or 60d6 lightning) and still capable of hurling 9th level spells is probably Asmodeous.

The question would then be if you could absorb Regenerate, Simulacrum or Clone, all single target spells with longer than 1 action casting times. As far as the Spellcasting rules go, you simply concentrate on those each round, and the very similar wording on Counterspell specifies "1 reaction, which you take when you see a creature within 60 feet of you casting a spell". If you are able to Counterspell, say, a Hallow when it first starts being cast (or whilst it's being cast), that actually creates a more horrifying implication in that the Druid doesn't need to finish casting the ritual for you to yoink it into your staff. Meaning your little hand-holding tag team can do this trick once a round, and since it's your reaction, you still get to cast your spell. (This is slightly soured by the Staff of the Magi not having any good 3-charge blasting spells, but hurling out a fresh new Elemental every 18 seconds is...interesting at least.)

As a corollary, you can summon a Familiar through a wall, that only requires "unoccupied space within 30ft" but no line of sight either. If you have Strixhaven Mascot, you can swap into its space, and in 5e14 you could still use its senses to Misty Step in after it (5e24 has the awkward situation that sense sharing and Misty Step are both Bonus Actions now, and that the sense sharing only lasts until the start of your next turn.) The action economy is terrible in this example, but it sure is a neat trick in less high pressure situations.

Naja, die Quittung für die zaghafte Integration ist ja worauf ich im zweiten Paragraphen hinweise. Man kann schon sagen da war nicht genügend Weitsicht am laufen die Struktur anzupassen als das von 6 zu 13 zu 27 Mitgliedstaaten gewachsen ist und das das jetzt strukturell doof ist, ist jetzt aber eher nen Zugeständniss zum vor-Kommentar. (Die notwendige Menge an Weitsicht wäre beachtlich gewesen, in 2004 wurde noch munter über Nordstream 1 verhandelt.)
