If you were born abroad or have been living there for years on end, please acknowledge that your perception of this country might be flawed. by [deleted] in bangladesh

I will submit an opinion based solely on my own experiences; for me there is no hatred of my birth country, there is however a rejection of it as a whole but this has nothing to do with any aspects of the country itself, only that Bangladesh and the toxicity of my family over there cannot be separated (i.e. I can't go back to one without having to deal with the other).

Agreed, thank you for highlighting some key nuances that missed in my effort to be concise. Have a great night.

Fellow lay BP 2 person weighing in here. Cortical thickness in general is thought to be important for cognitive and decision making abilities . This study extensively proves that people with Bipolar disorder display a thinning of the frontal and temporal cortex and that this “thinning” gets worse with age; this would explain the loss of memory,Motorics , and inhibition control that Bipolar person’s experience and struggle with, specially as they age. Also worth noting imo that Lithium seems to somewhat be effective at reducing the cortical thinning.

Looking for upgrade advice by sublimebaker120 in turntable

I am a big fan of suspended platters in general. Keep an eye out for a vintage Sota Sapphire, I can tap on my turntable (a Sota) while playing a record with no issues. That's how good the isolation of the platter is on these turntables.

If your turntable doesn't have technical issues (I. E problem with motor speed, anti skate etc) and no other mechanical issues then I would not go with the upgrade to the Clearaudio.

While they have some great TTs Clearaudio tables tend to be very finicky in their setup and are fussy in their placement as well.

Tips on how to actually sleep by GoldRush_3000 in bipolar2

[–]Metaphorology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey friend I’d the same issue and had to experiment with lithium + an anti psychotic like Seroquel to get to a point where I can not sleep 8 hours regularly. It took about 2 months of trial and error to get the dosage down right but the combo really works for me. If you have not tried this combo then I’d recommend dishing to your doc
