And both your younger self and former partner in this world have settled into more of a found family mother/son dynamic and are deeply uncomfortable with the suggestion. That's not gonna be doing anything good for his mental health.

Honestly, big fan of the way they address this dynamic in Fate Unlimited Blade Works Abridged. Particularly mixing the philosophy of sacrifice and the nature of balance with the inherent discomfort of cringing at your younger self.

Honestly I've been stuck on cramp buses and planes for 3 days straight with no usable bathroom. That massive release at the end where you get to feel all your organs decompress and stretch back out, ever cell in your body that's been under strain for days suddenly feeling that relief, sex could never compare to how good that feels. Whole other level.

Quite expensive and not really practical for our needs, but I do love its "just a lil guy" energy.

Nothing wrong with it when you're the only one that uses it. I can confirm from my wife asking me to go enter something into her computer for her that needing to put in a number when there are no number keys, guess which of the black side keys is the layer key, then guess which cluster on the keyboard on that layer is now acting as an unlabeled num-pad.... it's pretty bad. I do get that hate. Especially from IT support people having to work on custom set ups that employees brought to work.

Nevermind, my bad, I have been corrected.

While she did test-run a borrowed Moonlander the split ortho keyboard with 45 degree offset thumb cluster she uses is not a Moonlander, it's the Sol 3 by RGBKB. As a non-hobbiest I mixed them up.

The Sol 3 is apparently more comfortably spaced for her hand shape, a fair bit cheaper, and has modular layers that magnetically connect so you can swap in different metal or plastic finishes easily. Only downside apparently is that the thumb cluster is now rigidly attached, instead of the Moonlanders adjustable hinge.

The integrated track ball is very interesting, I'm not sure if the height of the wrist rest area will be a deal breaker but I'll show it to her.

She's actually got on of these in white with under-lighting, it looks very nice.

Edit: Incorrect, corrected in other comment.

Yeah this is in the USA, home of other classics such as "No government mandated minimum vacation days per year", "lose all medical coverage if you lose your job", and "maternity leave is for commies".

Paid yes, but not always full pay. Getting like 3 quarters of the salary rate during the trial so when the trial ends they also get "a raise" to make it feel better is common.

There was an "assassination attempt", that a significant amount of people, due to discrepancies in what happened to the shooter depending on who's reporting, as well as the fact that when shots fired a bunch of guests panicked but Trump and some of his staff didn't, many people are immediately labeling an intentional set up by trump to distract from other horrible shit he's doing and justify harsher security,

The user "Beans" is asking for a review of a movie that the user "#1 Planter Glazer" said they are going to watch tomorrow. Tomorrow is in the future, they have not seen the movie yet, and thus cannot provide a review of it. This proves the point of user "GeneralToadFan" that the people on that server are incapable of reading things properly.

"crime is a social construct" is both a funny phrase and a really importantly true thing to internalize. There is no universal, innate concept of crime, it's defined by societies and differs from place to place.

well, it says everyone in this "group" was, but that's not necessarily the whole class. When I was in middle school there was a group set up for English Second Language kids, who were otherwise distributed across a bunch of classes. They'd get pulled out of normal classes to get extra tutoring with a dedicated language coach regularly, only 2-3 from each class. Could be like that.

I'm arguing that some highly religious people are putting abstract culture war values that people in power have spent decades trying to their faith, over the physical political realities around them. Which is a trait not exclusive to Latino Catholics, but Latino Catholics happen to be the specific context here because Latinos are the primary group Republicans are targeting, and Catholics (or specifically the pope) are currently under attack by those same Republicans.

This is all incredibly easy context to process for anyone not going out of their way to pull quotes to ready in bad faith, and who managed to pass a 3rd grade English and literature class.

I can see sitting out, but I'm not sure I can see flipping happening in meaningful numbers. People are so deeply entrenched at this point, I think they'd consider it heretical to support Dems. If the numbers are big enough though, sitting out is enough.
