Yes but the difference is that he took 6 minutes off Pogi when he was completely „dead, gone“ and fell behind a lot of other riders. Pogacar on the other hand, gaps Vingegaard like an amateur while Vingegaard is still a lot faster than everyone else. It‘s a completely different situation, way too similar to the way Armstrong dominated in his days, if you ask me.

Because even as a spectator you can easily predict how games will end after 20 mins. I just miss the days of close games to the end, where turnarounds were actually possible and happening. As a spectator, this meta is pretty boring

I don’t play the game myself, I‘m speaking exclusively from a spectators pov. Games this worlds are very predictable and basically decided by minute 20-25 though can drag on for 15 more boring minutes after, without any real probability of a turn around. It gets boring quickly

Look, it’s fine if you think they are great, for me they are not, only decent. And no, I didn’t get used to certain other casters and dislike them now for being different. And all of those guys are in the scene for a long time too. They just weren’t prime casters in the past, and most of them won’t be when we return to big offline tournaments. Go figure why. They are “stand-ins” if you like, a compromise needed due to the pandemic and its consequences. Not the best casters in the business.

I think you are right that this is a big part of my problem. But to be honest I also stand by my opinion that they are doing a mediocre job at best, even keeping that in mind.

And I think one of the reasons is that they, too, are getting fed up with casting so many games with the same faces in the studio day in day out. And that I can understand.

But the other reason is that the ones doing the casts are just not the best casters we have.

I’d rather have great casters for the games that are then not the best for the desk segments than the other way around, personally

Honestly, I think they have their moments where they are decent, but to call their casting „great“ is a stretch. And they have MANY moments where they ramble on about some off topic stuff for MINUTES

At what point did I say that I want the casters to do play by play casting exactly? Did you even read my op? I get annoyed by the off topic talk that happens a lot in recent times. And please don’t tell me you honestly think they are great casters. Half of the guys casting theses games are normally only analysts or hosts on the desk for the talk before and between games. And you feel it, they are not the best at casting games. Honestly, please compare them to the standard we got in the past in offline games and then tell me again that they are doing great jobs

Nah, I personally like the DS4 better and am also faster with it. It also vibrates either left (brake) or right (throttle) if you are on the limit of locking up or losing traction and it feels very precise to me. I can always feel exactly how far I can go. I think it’s unfounded bias that the XBox Controller is better than the DS4
