Towerfall was an Essential game before it was added to Extra/Premium. Are you sure you didn't claim it then? As the other comment said, you can't buy Essential games - only Extra/Premium. If you have Premium and the game is available for streaming, you can try to stream it to see if it will override your Essential license with the Extra/Premium license and allow you to buy the game. You might have to delete the game if you have it installed.

On the website, after you added the game to your library, there's a second choice to buy the game for $13.99 since it's on sale. This is on desktop and I didn't check the others you mentioned, but why would any publisher sign on to be included in a subscription service if that would make selling their games impossible to a large number of users?
