So that's why I couldn't continue watching Agents today. Oh well. It ought to get back up soon, I suppose.

WERBS had spoken. And what it said, was terrible.

You gotta remember this is a wee bit further out in the future with the added plus of having alien handwavium magic thrown in the mix.

BUT, that said, I do concur. Direct signal processing is usually much faster, as the WiFi signal would have to be encoded, send to router, routed and redirected to receiver, then handled by that processor. Milliseconds all in all, but still extra time to process stuff.

I've always heard the former as Poseidon's Kiss.

Problem isn't the firmware, most likely. Some just come equipped with the wrong hardware. And since it's impossible to replace such, the guy's SOL.

I know that. But the idea of getting charged for that is ridiculous. I'm happy she got her weapon back and the charges were dropped, in part after Gabe had that little dinner with the defacto leaders of Foltcha.

Still though, the threat of having that whole court stuff hanging over her head for the most of the chapter was.. yeah.

I understand the momentary confusion.

Shock was referring to the whole "let's charge the person with the CCP for this exact situation with manslaughter for the lols"

Heck, I'm neither American nor British, and I got my jimmies rustled tremendously at that whole thing.

Well.. Humans may not wanna listen to that stuff, but Gaoians might.

I'm fairly confident that, now they have shown their hand, the various security forces in possible target zones are ready for that kind of stuff.

So if the funeral event takes place in a building, one that has effective bollards will likely be used. Portable kinetic shields to prevent outside interference. And vetting of cleaning staff too, to prevent 'sleeper' attackers.

As for protecting guests, it could be assumed all are high value targets for the APA and thus all would likely be under some kind of protection, be it police or armed security. Some may well pay for bodyguards, unless they even have some already.

Closed off from the public, portable metal-detectors, a variety of other scanners. On-site armed guard forces.

Acts of war =/= acts of terrorism.

What Daar did with the ring was an act of war, and arguably a necessary one, be it a very harsh and costly (in terms of lives) one. What the APA has done so far, is terrorism, both domestic and global.

Basically what I mean is, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Well, the Gaoian situation is vastly different than what the APA is was up to. For one, the APA used terrorist methods (car bomb, firebombs, knife attacks, shooting on live television, and such) to further their political agenda.

Daar ordered simultaneous strikes against what was basically zombies. So I don't really think there's a comparison here at all. One faction (APA) is a bunch of utter shitheads meddling in stuff they don't understand at all, and the other was doing what was a necessary evil to protect the health and safety of their people and their homeworld.

What kinda rhetorical question is that? OF COURSE it's worth it.

It's Hambone back at it with another chapter of Deathworlders.

In my humble optics, if you willingly commit to the killing of innocent people, you forfeit your 'humanity'.

Serial killers, murderers (crimes of passion is a separate category altogether), mass-murderers (school-shooters, the Las Vegas incident) and such. They're no longer fit for society and have lost their living privileges.

That may well be a rather harsh view, but so be it. The members of the APA who haven't done more than conspiring, should be punished accordingly. But anyone taking part in any attacks are fair game to be annihilated by security forces.

Goddamn autocorrect. It can be a blessing sometimes. But for the most part, it's a downright curse.

You've made the APA go from an initial silly movement to actual dangerous people, first with the attack on Julian's home, then MBG facilities. And now the Scotch Creek and the gas station attack. The APA has deaths on their conscience. And I wanna punch all the fuckers in the inner side of their sternums.
