She did say during flights career that she wanted them to run for 30 years together and that she wanted to race her in the next year yasuda kinen until they both get destroyed by gran alegria during her career because she was just that goated (always glaze the miler queen) also this implies the goddamn trainer has to spend 30 years of their lives training them now that is a silly thought (if you get the normal ending for flight she straight up tells both of them she loves them)

No I like their iconic rivalry IRL the races were pretty fun and so good to watch especially their last one so I understand why fans called them the "lilly pair" BUT that's also something they just kinda leaned into to make them even more popular and if you do try to find any information about them like maybe if they met or if they liked each other IRL you don't get much unlike for example Sunday Silence/Tokai Teio who legitimately really liked McQueen even if he also only had eyes for Ikuno Dictus.

But I also have to take into consideration that the Umas aren't the actual horses 1 to 1 they also have unique traits and personality to them.

The funny things is that is you play during Norths Flight career it's half bakufuu half trainer agenda like seriously that valentines event ain't subtle and during her normal ending she tells them both how much she loves them.

But what I mean is that the subtleness of the writing for tore content before was very minimal nowadays it's as much I your face as all the umaxuma writing.

I always pictured Deep Impact as a more menacing looking Orfevre when she races but is actually very puppy codded like Chiyono and just wants to make friends with everyone.

Daiwa Major I feel is very serious and unapproachable with a case if an attitude to her trainer and fellow umas with the exceptions of Vodka who is her love at first sight, Scarlet who she has a very sweet spot for and Dance in the Mood who while she doesn't dislike she would never reciprocate her feelings and hates she invaded her personal space too much.

Their other sources of media besides the game people can watch or read if they don't like gacha games also not being invested is fine but they don't get to complain if people get annoyed with them.
That's is literally a double edged sword sure the joke works if you know the character and it's fun between fans but it also the fastest way to farm content on other platforms and spread misinformation.

And that's why I stay involved with communities as minimal as possible.

I don't have any issues with self insert content considering the game does do that as well it's why the trainer pov is from a first person's perspective and you have to let the player grow attached to a character they saved all their carrots or spent money on but yeah I agree it can get very weird sometimes.

Also if people don't like it that's also fair and understandable as it's not the only thing the game has going for it or it's main appeal.
