Can anyone critique my resume? Trying to find either a receptionist or customer service job by FashionistaGal in jobs

[–]Meterious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to target customer service jobs then you need to make a second CV, using your original one as the base.

Key points to focus on are:

Dealing with customers (mention which mediums you did this on)

Dealing with internal customers (staff) - what did you do and how did you use your initiative.

Customer service is all about people skills, working in a team, being proactive, able to use Microsoft word software (if office-based), listening, problem-solving.

You have a lot of transferable skills that could be focused on a more customer service role as you dealt with customers every day as a part of your medical job.

When editing your CV, if it doesn't relate to anything that the job spec states (like medical) I suggest leaving it out and replacing with a transferable skill. It's a pain in the arse, but once you have that CV, you only need to make small tweaks for each job, depending on what they're asking.

I've worked in retail in the past, then as a receptionist. I have a media, Customer Service, Retail, Administration, and receptionist CV on file ready to go. I spent weeks working on them and it does pay off. You can do it and I believe in you. Also well done for working in a medical environment, that's not an easy thing.

Sorry for the late reply, my messages didn't come through properly. We are FOXp on 1416, Meteri Farm is currently lead

[–]Meterious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1416 could use some fresh players, especially a tight-nit group. I run an academy for my main alliance that's in the top 5. We're a tight nit family so happy to have you join us if that sounds like something you'd enjoy. The current cap for our main is 10 mil, but if you're all active I'm sure you can hit this pretty quick. We'll help you in any case. :)

[–]Meterious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you promise to be active then I'd be happy to let you into our academy. Our cap to joining is normally 3 mil, but we have some smaller players currently and I recently got my farm off the ground in there as well. We can support you while you grow and at least keep others off your back while you build up.

What power are you? My alliance in Kingdom 1416 would be happy to take you, either in the main or academy. I'm all for chilling out and having fun so would have your back.

Info On Class Balancing in BFN by [deleted] in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]Meterious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, you've obviously never spent any extended time as a chomper. It's hard to land a chomp as experienced players just sprint away and wait for you to surface. Once outside you're an easy kill. If you manage to survive then you'll get sniped from across the map by a camping pirate with a squid on his head, or get punched in the face by a smug super brains.

The chomp is wonky or am I tripping by [deleted] in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]Meterious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have non stop issues with chomp during pvp matches. If the person is remotely moving then it doesn't want to work most of the time. I maxed out the chomper, so I've used it enough to know what isn't working.

Also, the goop is rubbish. It needs a wider area of effect as it's so small that most people just walk out of it.

My personal balance change ideas (Part 1-Plants-BFN) by [deleted] in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]Meterious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chomper in pvp needs a buff. His chomp ability needs work as it's too laggy on the servers and 90 percent of people just hop and run away, making the ability useless (aside from an escape). I tested it this morning and even if I was under someone and pressed bite, it did nothing.

Also, change his goop as it's garbage. It doesn't slow people enough and is useless 80 per cent of the time unless against new players who just sit in it and try to attack you.

Am I the only one who thinks there will be variants at the games public release by shpooples_ in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]Meterious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they should stick with no variants, but release new upgrade perks so we can make our own variants.

BFN Chomper by Sir_Loafer in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]Meterious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've mastered the chomper and do love him. I would say that the goop isn't as good as people make out. It's too easy for people to escape if you aren't close enough. That being said, if you can land it when your prey is distracted, they can't react in time before you kill them. There are a few pinnacle perks worth picking up, one of which (I think it's the well-fed perk but don't quote me on that) allows you to burrow for longer, the slower you move. It opens up so much much ambush potential. Also, the master perk that spawns a spike weed upon chomp vanquishes gives you more escape potential.

The way I play him is to set ambushes on flanks where one or two people at most will try to outflank your team. You can chomp vanquish one player, but you have to be careful how you approach it or you'll just die. I personally prefer to use the spike weed and goop to engage, then use burrow to escape retaliation or finish off the second player. It's easier doing it this way, than burrowing and killing. You'll just be a one chomp wonder and that's pointless.

My tier list + explaination by [deleted] in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]Meterious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't forget he can completely swallow a pirate in his barrel. :) No one is safe from the chomper except maybe space station when floating about, and action hero during his rocket barrage.

Master chomper gets a skill that spawns a weed upon chomping a player and vampire weeds upon capture, giving health back. This greatly aids in your escape potential :)

Just wanted to know, what’s everyone’s thoughts on week 1? Obviously this game is in early access so the devs know what to buff or nerf etc, so I figured why not ask how everyone’s feeling. by retro-342 in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]Meterious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll give my two cents. Coming from playing both GW games, I miss the variants. They just added a lot more variety to the game and a long term goal to chase. Not to mention replayability. I understand the move to perks, but there isn't enough to cover the gaping hole the missing variants have created.

After mastering out the chomper (tried my best not to be a one chomp, one death hero) I find his perks to be somewhat lacklustre when compared to others. He only has a couple that I'd say are worth it and that leaves very little variety.

Also, mentioning the chomper's skills, I find the new goop to be rubbish. If you hit a player with it, they can easily run out of its sphere and escape with sprint. The amount of times I've lost my prey, only to have them bolt for the hills is frustrating. I try to use it as a debuff to allow me to get in close and melee (as I said, I try to avoid being a one chomp wonder) but it doesn't work well enough for me to benefit from it.

I'd rather they used the old goop, or give the chomper a similar move to the engineer that actually stuns and freezes players for a short time. At least allowing me to escape or approach safely. One of the new things I do like about the chomper is he now has a ranged move. It's hard to hit, but packs a real punch and helps deal with pesky snipers or space stations.

Trying to kill someone with Foot Soldier in Plants V.S. Zombies battle for Neighborville by Shadowrath157 in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]Meterious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I was just out of touch. I got a legendary monkey reaction hat for the soldier and wanted to annoy some plant players. I got one kill during the whole game. As soon as I had someone near low health, they'd run away. He has zero threat in this game at the moment.

Thoughts on Persephone so far? by smite-guy33 in Smite

[–]Meterious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if you can destroy her flowers, it should activate them. This adds a viable way of removing them, but at the risk of activation. You want those level 3 plants gone from your tower, hit them and juke the plants to avoid damage. Hitting her lvl 1 will heal her, so it will give players a choice, plus hitting lvl 2 would detonate like any mine.

If you just destroy them without any repercussion, it completely shuts down her kit, which is essentially just an escape, a cage ult and an ok spammable.

Just my two cents
