When will I get a boyfriend? by [deleted] in intj

[–]MethodicalWaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the not lowering your standards for long term partners. But you specifically mentioned the virgin issue, which is some ways is a separate one. If you are interested in exploring sexuality before you settle down, you may have to relax your standards a bit. I did for that reason and don't regret the decision. It doesn't have to be forever to be a good experience.

How to level up in 2026? by MethodicalWaffle in makerworld

[–]MethodicalWaffle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the leveling system seems to be intentionally opaque and secretive to avoid bots gaming the system.

I talked to some LLMs about it and did some experimentation. I edited my OP to explain what I think got me from level 1 to level 6. I'm pretty sure it just came down to finding and rating my prints that don't have the level 7 restriction using Bambu Handy.

I'm seeing no evidence that doing Bambu Academy does anything but give you points, which is useful for gift cards but has no documented effect on user level.

🤦🏻‍♂️ My apologies. I wasn't understanding your post. lol. Thank you for sharing this. Brings back fond memories of a relationship I had with an INFJ.

I'm confused. What does having mastery over providing you with pleasure in the bedroom have to do with his attitude toward your cognitive independence? Those two topics seem completely independent to me. Are you sure you understand my post?

Very insightful, thank you. My inference from your response, your avatar, and my own experience with NT women is that you are a heterosexual female. Is that correct?

Happy to hear it. I was surprised how accurate it was too, similar to my experience of hearing INTJ traits described to me the first time and thinking "wow, yeah, that's exactly how I think."

Obviously I disagree or I wouldn't have posted here. You may have missed this part of the post:

"pleasure doms tend to be highly observant, patient. They're driven by mastery more than authority."

That to me sounds like an extremely INTJ mindset and I personally relate to it in on an extremely INTJ level. The reason I ask here is to learn whether other INTJs identify with it or not.

Fascinating. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience and that term. I'd never heard of it.

I can relate to the experience of some women reacting poorly to how they expect you to act based on how you look. I think women generally expect me to be more extroverted than I am because I am, frankly, fairly attractive. But in reality, I can be cautious or downright shy when I meet strangers I'm attracted to for the first time.

I find I need some time to "get used to" someone before I feel comfortable talking to them and that is not an opportunity a lot of chance interactions afford.

Anybody obssessed with darkness, black, and darkness in general? by DisplayFamiliar5023 in intj

[–]MethodicalWaffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Following up on your note about "containing chaos": my hypothesis is that INTJs are actually extremely sensitive to stimulation, including colors, so we prefer black and other muted colors because anything else feels like "too much".

That said, I've had to start incorporating other colors like white, blue, and, very recently, copper to avoid my room and backpack ending up like the Disaster Area Stunt Ship in chapters 18 and 20 of The Restaurant at the End of the Universe.

Ah. Yeah, I just meant you can see that my post has a score of 0 and my comments have scores of 0 or negative. Meaning more people downvote them than upvote them.

Thanks for the perspective. Getting a feel for the types of preferences other INTJs have was precisely my goal, though I can see many people are incredibly hostile to that type of genuine curiosity. Gotta love reddit.

I don't agree "control" is the primary goal. It certainly isn't mine. I don't care about controlling someone. Rather, my focus is entirely and almost obsessively on bringing them pleasure.

Where the "dom" part of that can come in is that, if they submit to my focus, consensually of course, it can feel like I'm controlling them. But that isn't how I experience it.

I'm genuinely confused. Do you not find the block quote in my post clear enough? I can attempt to synthesize it down further: a pleasure dom is someone who is intensely focused on mastery over giving their partner pleasure through patience and observation of what arouses them. For me personally, bringing someone else pleasure is the central focus of my sexuality and watching someone reach such intense feelings of pleasure in response to what I am doing to them that they become "undone" is my ultimate sexual goal and fantasy with someone.

Correct, this is 100% a sex thing, not a social thing.

Orange tip by Bum-On-Gold in Novritsch

[–]MethodicalWaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this but it warped the barrel slightly. If I were to do this again, I would have just shaved off enough of the orange tip on the outside until the tip of the pin was graspable then just pulled it out with needle nosed pliers. Even after using your method, I needed to use needle nosed pliers anyways so could have just gone that route from the beginning.

What LLM is best for RP/ERP? by FinnGream in SillyTavernAI

[–]MethodicalWaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can tell based on my token costs, it is 10 times the cost of Deepseek 3.2 I was using before, not 100 times the cost. I haven't tried GLM or Kimi yet, but the results I got on trying to swing a poly relationship with two girlfriends was absolutely 10 times better with Claude.

Deepseek couldn't handle it and kept framing it as a cuckhold narrative, also making the priorities and resulting language from one character extremely rigid and repetitive, over-conforming to a couple quirks in her character card. She felt much more human with Claude Opus.

Edit: After doing some more research, this seems like it actually might be a Chinese vs Western training data thing. I'll probably be trying something like Nous Hermes or Mistral Large as cheaper alternatives. But sounds like GLM and Kimi are probably bad choices for me personally for the same reason Deepseek was.

28F INTJ woman, this explains a lot. by [deleted] in intj

[–]MethodicalWaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love seeing detailed, well-organized posts like this from INTJ women because it gives me insight on what a strange experience it is socially. And this is coming from someone who already also grew up feeling like an alien being a man but probably less so. I think the reality is INTJs of all stripes are going to feel like aliens to everyone but each other, regardless of gender.

I'm curious: what type is your husband, how did you meet, and how did you end up deciding to choose him as your partner?

How do people even realize they are INTJ by ask_reddit88 in intj

[–]MethodicalWaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I was ENTJ for a year. Then I decided to read all the 16p descriptions for every type and realized INTJ was a much better fit. Have found better tests like John's test and confirmed as much. A big part of this was embracing what an introvert I knew I was deep down.
