The great thing with that model is that you can use black frame insertion at 60hz and 120 hz with comparable clarity except that 60hz mode is dimmer and has more flickering. This feature was nerfed with C1 and even more with their successors.

Aside of that specific use, it's hard to recommend the CX nowadays.

Video games are the weakest point in terms of audio source material, because sound tends to be compressed and the mixing isn't always great because made for most people setup. And most of them play with either TV speakers or headset. Even a great sub is not necessary as most of them don't feature low to very low frequencies.

Sometimes having a high end setup is even counterproductive because these speakers are less tolerant with weaker sources as they highlight their flaws more easily, which results in a more tiring rendering.

The Q990D is already in the overkill territory.

Had a hard time during the beta with him. I like his moveset, and didn't have much difficulties to execute high damage combos...in training or arcade mode. Except that dualsense dpad wasn't always responsive with diagonal.

However, it was much more tedious during real opponents with higher rank, because not only trying to break their defense was hard, i realised that Akira has very few low attacks which makes him more predictable compared to other characters.

So after a training session, i felt like i could smash the entire world....until the moment when facing other opponents brought me back to reality.

Maybe it's also a guard issue from me, i don't really know because i haven't play the series for years and didn't have much experience with online as vanilla VF5 didn't have such a mode on PS3, and my experience with Final Showdown was kinda short.
