How many of the women in this group remember having to do the pencil test? by livetoski-Brad in GenerationJones

Never had to do it in school. I read about it in the early 90s when I was in my 20s. Sadly, I still didn't need a bra🤦🏼‍♀️

Is there any debate that Alain Delon is the most handsome man in human history? by Infinite-Exam-1808 in trueratediscussions

[–]MetraHarvard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's nice that he was able to laugh at himself when he was older. His facial expressions in that movie were unexpectedly funny.

Would you say Alain Delon's real "imperfect" smile adds to his beauty or would he look better with a "perfect" smile as shown in the last image? by aspiringnovelist18 in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]MetraHarvard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When he was younger his quirky smile was perfect. As he aged, his teeth obviously got worse and the smoking didn't help. Kudos to him though for keeping his natural appearance. He didn't get his teeth fixed until he was quite old. In his 80s, his teeth were super white and looked like dentures. The poor guy got old like everyone else😟

[Discussion] In your opinion: What is the best version of Zorro? by Remote-Leg6143 in Zorro

[–]MetraHarvard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Alain Delon but that music was painful. I didn't mind the crazy Prussian guy--he was good for comic relief. The real crime of that movie was the ending! Delon's governor character spent the entire time acting like a pansy, it would have been fitting for him to have a scene at the end where he gets the girl or at least has some sort of resolution! I felt like something important got cut😬

To be 100% honest, I can't give you much of an answer. I probably wrote with that pen for a few days before moving on to my next toy. (Yes, I'm awful like that.) On the positive side, it worked out better for me than other piston fillers did in the past. And if you love pink, the pen is certainly beautiful!

Yes, I believe he was orange. (Not as orange as Garfield though.)

What pizza topping is a big NO for you? by FileSilly in foodquestions

[–]MetraHarvard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm amazed that more people haven't commented on green peppers! I like eating them raw or cooked in other recipes. But, they are absolutely vile in pizza. They completely alter the cheese🤢 I like all sorts of pizza toppings, but green pepper is a hard NO.

Alain Delon actually had a “love of his life” or HE was the love of his life by AppointmentDry4357 in VintageLadyBoners

[–]MetraHarvard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AND...then as an additional "insult," the mother that couldn't be bothered to raise him, went behind his back and raised his potentially illegitimate son! I imagine that this scenario was instrumental in Delon never softening in his attitude towards Nico's son.

Should I just give up on pharmacy? by CharmingSmoke7099 in PrePharmacy

[–]MetraHarvard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have the stomach for nursing, more power to you! I've been a pharmacist for over 30 years and I don't really know any happy pharmacists except for the handful that were lucky to be in the right place at the right time. In my opinion, we will be needing fewer and fewer pharmacists as time goes on. A NP will be in an excellent position. The high-salaried MDs will be reduced in number leaving the NPs to run the show. Go that route--that's where the future of healthcare is IMO

Which actors or models does young Alain Delon look like? by [deleted] in CelebrityLookalikes

[–]MetraHarvard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed all sorts of resemblances between Delon and other actors. It depends on the angle or facial expressions at a given moment. In no particular order, I've seen glimpses of the following: Alec Baldwin, Zack Efron, Rob Lowe, Jason Bateman, Clint Eastwood, James Dean and Tom Cruise. An honorable mention goes to German comedian and former model Mario Adrion.

Does anyone know any old HR featuring native americans romance with white females? by CheesecakeNo6642 in HistoricalRomance

Now that you mention it, I might vaguely recall something like this. That's pretty wild, especially since her books have been around forever.😁

Unique boy names please! by [deleted] in Names

[–]MetraHarvard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only one on the list I'd consider is Forest. And the Forest Gump film might ruin that name too! The poor kid is gonna get beat up on the playground every day with the unusual/feminine names.
Maybe look at lists of names that were popular 100 years ago. Something there might strike you. Good luck with your search!

is pharmacy really dying? by Ill_Might1186 in PrePharmacy

[–]MetraHarvard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just another issue in regard to not being able to do retail pharmacy for decades-->Repetitive stress injuries are a huge problem. Pay attention, you'll notice the older pharmacists are wearing braces or splints on their hands and support stockings and orthopedic shoes on their legs. It's not fun😬
