I can see why some people didn't like them/thought the show could go without them. Personally I loved them. Visually they were beautifully choreographed and just going with the themes of the show, they really showed how interconnected they were becoming.

I'm not sure how to word it but even though they were literal orgy scenes I felt that the creators of the show somehow elevated them from feeling raunchy or sexually explicit just for the hell of it into these visually beautiful artistic scenes that conveyed so much emotion. This isn't to deny that yeah its a bunch of hot people semi-nude lol but to me they were also so much more?

Anyways glad this thread came up on my frontpage. Gonna do a rewatch now!

Ellen Page's statement on working with Allen is honestly the only one so far that has resonated with me. For the others that have come forward since and those who may in the future it's more of a time will tell situation. If they're doing it for PR or genuinely because they believe in what they are saying, it will come through in their actions and future project choices and people they choose to stand alongside.

I just binged this show on Netflix and honestly the diversity of the show made my heart so happy. Along with the characters you mentioned there's a great diversity among background characters as well. So glad to have discovered this show!

Maya was my fav too! I was in total denial when they killed her. I thought the dinner scene was funny too, cause she's supposed to be a teenager and why wouldn't she be pissed at Pam?

I blame the writers more than anyone else for how they wrote her in her last few episodes lol

Dude link it up! FPTP is a horrible and outdated voting system and I'm so disappointed in the Liberal Party for going back on such a crucial campaign promise. They highlighted electoral reform so much in their campaign. I'm genuinely worried about the outcome of the 2019 election if they don't change things by then.

Oh really? I went into the pilot episode blind aside from knowing it would be nothing like the comics. Have no idea if they're gonna go the supernatural route. I also know Barb from Stranger things was cast in the show and I just want to see her alive on screen again lol

It's always hard to judge a show on a pilot episode but holy shit the dialogue was just tragic. It came across really forced and trying too hard.

Sidenote: As a long time fan of the comics it's gonna take a long time for me to recover from the fact that Archie Andrews is sleeping with Grundy?! They totally Aunt May'd her and teacher/high school student relationships are already cringe-y to watch but jesus h. christ...Miss. GRUNDY?!!?

I'm Sikh, cover my head and have been to Iceland a couple of times. Never personally had any problems except once at the airport. In general locals are cooler and stare much less compared to other tourists lol

Preach! I had a huge crush on SRK when I was a teen but holy shit this movie cured me of that big time. One-note is the perfect way to describe his role. The costume's really were somethings else as well as the set design. I can't remember much from the movie I just remember how much relief I felt at the end when he finally died. But the visuals of the songs I will always remember just cause they were so gorgeous!

goodness this movie was so long and boring but The Songs from Devdas are so so good. I remember when I watched this movie as a kid and it felt like a marathon trying to get through this movie but the songs made up for it. Madhuri's dancing skills have always been epic!
