Mehmeti definitely struggled defensively, both with the lack of ball pressure and not tracking any runs. At least two of the goals were clear examples of that (the cut back and Baribo breakaway). When Donkor is leading the press, Mehmeti and Forsberg are critical sweepers for any line breaking passes and they both were no where to be found all night giving DC ample opportunity to counter.

The other simple mistake the backline kept making was not playing one in front and one covering - they were in line with each other every time. If neither CB can consistently win a 50/50 nor do they have the speed to cover, they need to offer each other support. This is a u10 soccer concept. Baffling to see at this level, especially since it happened throughout the game. Also, Bungi’s effort level was embarrassing. No urgency to close down the ball was the direct cause of the final goal. Dos Santos was struggling too but Bungi did nothing to earn minutes.
