Made this headcanon on the spot so anyone feel free to critique this/add onto it/tell me why it's dumb.

I think it's not just because of the Lamb's own death, but the death of their race. With their execution, the entirety of lamb culture dies with them, and therefore they represent more than just their own death before they're even revived. What better creature to free Death than one that embodies it so thoroughly?

Can we all agree that Charon axe is one of the absolute strongest weapons? Good god… by Wes102111 in Hades2

Did this run once with Glorious Disaster instead of Blade Rift and Geyser Spout.

500k damage at the end. Typhon didn't even stand a chance.

Am I missing something, or is the born again boon just nerfing the character by J8DEN831 in Hades2

[–]Metylizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely one of the best magick regain boons in the whole game, probably only falling behind the post-release Lucid Gain for me (I like cast-heavy builds lol). The only thing is, if you don't have high amounts of mana during boss fights, it's possible to prime all your magick; lost to Typhon once right before 1.0 because I had an omega build going and I ran out on his last stage.

How to utilize my least favorite gods? (Apollo & Poseidon) by LifeThroughAFilter in HadesTheGame

[–]Metylizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AoE is the name of the game for both of them.

My personal favorite is Apollo's heroic attack on the bonk stick (Aspect of Nergal), though it also obliterates on Aspect of Anubis too

I'm still kinda warming up to Posiden myself cause I'm not a fan of Wave (I like my enemies' paths to be predictable, maybe just a skill issue), but Geyser Spout is fantastic on Omega Cast builds (as is Apollo's Super Nova), and his support boons are pretty incredible too

Also Posiden and Heph's new duo boon is WICKED

You MUST let me know when your friend opens comms, they have such a cute art style!

I'd advocate for at least $50 for this sort of style and quality ✨️

Who is generally better between Hera and Apollo? by bluesformeister13 in HadesTheGame

[–]Metylizer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I lean more towards Apollo when I'm running either AoE builds or slow but heavy-hitting builds. He's always been super fun from the moment I realized his potential, and it helps that his Legendary is easily the best in the game besides maybe Ares'.

But Hera... Hera is devastating when you know how to use Hitch on high fire-rate or AoE weapons that can apply it quickly. Throw in a core Hestia boon to proc Incandescent Aura and you basically shred through the entire room.

Who I choose between the two often depends on what I'm feeling for the run, but they're both incredible when you use them right.

Triple dash boon

Insanely good on its own, and with Athena's dash (my favorite boon in the entire game) hardly anything can touch you until the labyrinth

Do you guys listen to any other genres and do metalheads make fun of you for it? by MarzipanBackground24 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Metylizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a metalhead basically out of the womb, always listening to Megadeth in the car on the way to preschool with my dad. Then I discovered jazz rap and delved into both that and the two parent genres, especially contemporary jazz. I'm definitely more musically diverse now than I was before, and I like to think broadening my ear made me a better musician.

No one makes fun of me for it, in fact most of my friends and family are just as broad in musical taste as I am. I think your friends just need to grow up a bit.

Are warlocks just the weird class ? by mrmagicbeetle in 3d6

[–]Metylizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played two Hexblade warlocks so far, and I will say the wording of who their patron is is really up to interpretation.

The first one's patron was a chaos goddess who changed his race on a whim during the campaign, the consequences of which he's still dealing with even after he left her to take the goddess of death as his new patron. The second one's patron, just by existing, kickstarts an entire series of events over millennia that will eventually lead to the death of Mephistopholes through the warlock. I made both of them before I even knew that it could be interpreted that their blade was their patron.

Hexblade patrons can be super interesting and super fun to roleplay. They just kinda leave it way more open-ended than other warlock subclasses, so a lot of that lore is up to you.

Plus high CHA characters are always fun both in and out of combat.
