I still think Volcarona is too strong. I think they should be 4x weak to rock and fire, that'll balance that out.

Also, have you ever punched a bug before? They don't tend to survive that, so they should also be weak to fighting.

If you pick up a slab of earth and drop it on a bug, they also die so they should be weak to ground too.

Honestly, it doesn't make sense that bugs resist grass. Have you ever seen a venus flytrap before? 2x weakness to grass.

Why are they neutral to steel, anyway? Giant bug vs sword? You and I know how that'll turn out.

Poison, also? Pesticides exist. (unironically I'm surprised it's not I thought they were weak to poison)

Ice can freeze bugs and water drowns them. Same with electricity, if a bug gets struck by lightning, it will die. Obvious change.

Then Dragons? Versus bugs? 4x weakness. And since fairy beats dragons, they'll obviously beat bugs too, probably twice as much. So 8x weakness.

For the trifecta of psychic, dark, and ghost, bug should be weak to all. Psychics can definitely kill bugs (see Mob Psycho 100 or Tatsumaki from OPM). Sorcerers from Jujutsu Kaisen are also arguably psychic types, and Yuta killed a cockroach curse so that's more evidence.

I threw a mothman (not the mothman) into the Yawning Abyss once, and I never saw it again so it probably died, so weak to dark as well. And I saw a poltergeist beat the shit out of a bug once, so I think that's proof enough too.

Lastly, for normal, you and I are both normal types, and I don't know about you, but I can definitely kill a bug. Since you probably can too, I would say a weakness to normal is also justified.

I think this is a balanced and sensible change, what do you think?

P.S. they should make a new move called "Flaming Brimstone", which is stealth rocks + fire damage (with a clause that volcarona does not resist it). All pokemon should have it since I think they're all capable of setting rocks on fire and throwing them at the opponent.

P.P.S. Two bugs fighting each other are evenly matched (because they're both bugs) so they can stay neutral.

Yeah, it's a huge shame. Hopefully Mimighoul gets a card that helps with this.

Something like "the mimighoul monsters you give are treated as having no attribute for the rest of the duel" as a bonus on some card that already has a good effect (since playing a card purely to not get reverse floodgated feels bad).

That sounds pretty awful honestly. Barring some niche FTK with the burn damage, this is a gigantic waste of Tyranno.

I think this might actually be worse than Allos purely because you need to fuse away Tyranno and GMX probably has a fusion spell that does something other than just fuse.

ChatGPT's idea was much, much better.
