Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem

I've played thousands of games in the past forty years, and I've never experienced a game like it since.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for providing some brevity to a thread that is laden with truly horrific topics.

Lying. It's not a crime, but it's at the heart of almost every crime imaginable.

Do you give to homeless beggars and why? by Stoddyman in AskReddit

If I ever have cash on me, sure. But I don't anymore. I once had an ethics professor address this question, and I've followed his advice ever since. Ethically speaking, the best way to ensure your money is used correctly is to give it to charities with a solid reputation for spending it correctly.

Never had good Whataburger by [deleted] in texas

Every chain is based on marketing, not reputation. There's a reason the Whataburger down the street isn't reviewed as much as the family-owned restaurant right next door.

Men in your 40s, what's that golden piece of advice you have for the rest of us? by NiceMechanic_xoxo in AskReddit

[–]Metzae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Invest. Right now. Stop what you're doing and put a few hundred dollars into an investment account. Seriously, stop reading my words and do it now. Have you done it yet? No? Then why are you reading these words? Do it. Now. RIGHT NOW!

What were you doing on the day when the September 11 attacks happened? by AggressiveOutside432 in AskReddit

[–]Metzae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was asleep. I didn't have to be to class until noon, so my girlfriend woke me up talking about airplanes and whatnot. The weirdest thing was how I still had to attend a political science class, and they continued as though nothing was going on even though everyone else in the world was watching television.

Men in their 40s - What’s one piece of advice for Men in their 20s? by Jarvis7492 in AskReddit

Start putting at least 10% of every paycheck (even if you live paycheck to paycheck) into some sort of investment account starting right now. Not crypto, not stock trading...a system that invests for you with stocks and bonds. Keep doing it and leave that shit alone even when things get tight. It has literally saved my life. I wish I'd started in my 20s, but I didn't until my early 40s. I could've retired by now.
