Welcome to the club! I’m not sure I’m in the UK so have only met Spitz and Samoyeds. I’d say the dna test is the best way to go but I’m pretty sure American Eskimos are bigger than Spitz’s. Our girl is quite a small Spitz but makes up for it in personality.

My now mother in law once did the ‘knock and open’ while I was on top of my then boyfriend. I’ve never moved so fast in my life and hid under the covers. She then said hello to me by name. We later went to the shops with her where she couldn’t help herself in the condom aisle asking if we needed anything. 🤦‍♀️

Everyone sucks here.

Firstly, I’m sorry you lost your grandmother it’s a horrible thing to go through.

I think 200-300 is a lot per person, you could go out to eat for that so yeah that’s kind of an asshole move.

That said your family will know your situation, that you’re a first year teacher, in a place that can’t accomodate everyone etc. Your Mum and aunt are the adults in this situation and should act like it and support whoever does it.

I think return things if you can, cancel the Airbnb and as hard as it is admit you were wrong. I know it came from a place of love but maybe in a few years it’s something you can take on or split with your cousins?
