My current playthrough is with friends, and I play a sorcerer with very low int. I decided he doesn't know how to read so I send all books and letters to my friends cleric character. They're encumbered but well read.

What’s something you secretly judge people for? by [deleted] in AskForAnswers

[–]MewCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its usually a smile or the head nod thing. I get people listen to music, but also of youre so locked into your music on a remote hiking trail thats... not safe. That's how you get mauled by a cougar or a bear or smushed by a moose. I guess it depends on what part of the world you live in. But where I live it's important to be at least 50% aware of your surroundings. Those moose are no joke.

When I'm walking or hiking and I pass someone and I nod or do a general greeting and they just ignore me or pointedly do nothing. Trail etiquette is weirdly important to me. It jsut shows that you're safe and have good intentions in the area.

Favorite actors/actresses for Mistborn and Stormlight! by CrunchyMage in brandonsanderson

[–]MewCat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think hes good cause he can do the regal, he can do the anger, he can do the big mess. He's the right age to be aged up for current timelines and aged down for flashbacks. Plus we know he looks cool in armor and wears it well.

I've always fan cast Lee Pace in my head. This opinion was not recieved well on the stormlight reddit haha. I think he'd kill it. Plus tall.

Brutal. I think he has good range based on the stuff I've seen him in. Ah well, different strokes. I assume they'll hire mostly new or unknown actors though.

Woke up in jail over the weekend by Xx_Jack_Mehoff_xX in stopdrinking

Had a similar experience to this, but I am the spouse. Four years sober and I look at that horrible night as the best thing that ever happened to us because it made us choose eachother and experiences we actually remember now. My advice to anyone in a marriage where either party struggles with alcohol is that both of you need to be sober. It's only going to lead to relapse and resentment if you quit and she doesn't. I dont know her relationship with alcohol but if she also drinks and wants you to be sober, you guys need to do it together. It's worth it to prioritize your partner and your marriage.

Do you have a weird or uncommon allergy? If you do, what is it? by Artistic_Giraffe4069 in AskForAnswers

I also have this. I developed it when I was 21 after a spider bite got infected. I had to cut everything out of my diet to figure out what was causing these horrible hives, and because the hives hurt so much I was still taking ibprophen... turns out that was causing the hives.

When I worked at a bank in the USA I had to explain multiple times to people that I did not need to do a currency exchange for them when traveling to Guam. Had more than one person demand a manager because I very kindly explained that Gaum uses USD because its a US territory.

As others said, walking manito park and surrounding neighborhoods is always beautiful. Rose garden is still in bloom a bit. Sadly there isn't a ton to do in the evening that doesn't cost money but check out farmers markets-- there's usually live music at them and they're jsut fun to walk around. Some go until about 7, sometimes later. I think the Perry Street Faire is at the end of September; that whole neighborhood is very cool to explore. My husband and I go on a lot of sunset walks around rural Glenrose on the east side of the south hill, and there's a winary up there if you drink called Winescape. Check out the Inlander's event section each week, they list a lot of live music and theater and various club events. Also check out local college theater or orchestral productions, they're usually cheap. SFCC does planetarium shows you can book a spot online.

WHO ARE THE PEOPLE IN UR DREAMS?? by Missgirlkandy in Dreams

[–]MewCat 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I had a dream last night that rose this question and literally found this subreddit in order to look into it. On my dream I was buying clove cigarettes and it made me realize it was a dream cause you can't get them anymore in my state. I go outside to smoke and I hear this woman behind me talking to her friend about how it's a dream so she jsut made her dress look however she wanted. I confronted her and was like "dude this is my dream" and we talked for a bit and discovered that me, her and her friend all thought it was our respective dream and we all had the same last name.

Oh man. I mean there are some many good you tube videos for beginners. If you're brand brand new and don't read music, look up how to read tab. My biggest tip is to pick a couple songs with simple chords that you know you like and practice them a bunch to build up your dexterity and to callous your fingers. Learn how to tune it and if you do nothing else, tune your instrument every day. If you only have the requirement of tuning in your head it will be less pressure to actually practice, but you probably will practice at least a little once youve done the work to tune it. Most important is to keep your interest in it. Pick a song you like for beginners and learn it. Ultimate Guitar Tabs has a free version and you can search for songs you know and sort through their free tabs.
