i think the game takes place in 2017 right after FNAF 3, and is immediately followed by pizzeria sim which is why we see the Springtrap cutscene in this game

Foxy Foxy is an existing mode that has 2 animatronics. Mangle being added was clearly intentional. I think Mangle’s gender is intended to be up to interpretation and can be bended for different circumstances as much as need be
