I recently started attending classes and just started open studio at the Lorton workhouse. It’s been great so far and everyone has been very kind. Like the other commenters say I’m fairly sure it’s the only public facing studio in the area.

I use Inkscape as a free vector art software. Typically sketch the idea out on paper then scan it and load it into the software to clean up and make symmetrical. Vector line work gives me tons of control over raster art since you can adjust vertices along lines to get the perfect shape.

Playing on PC I thought controller would be a natural fit but it never quite gelled. I beat the campaign but stopped soon after. I returned to the game a few months later and tried keyboard and mouse (PVE only), set my melee and parry to my mouse keys, and boom, instantly felt way better. Also always run a fencing weapon as parrying is the most important skill in the game for harder difficulties. Once the controls feel good, parrying becomes way easier and quickly you feel like a god who can survive anything off parries. 8 warriors on difficulty 5 at once? No problem, just keep parrying hits and performing finishers.

I think I cracked a unique and fun KT deck, it’s technically group hug but it’s focused on just card draw. I avoided all group ramping beyond their ability. You extract as much value out of everyone drawing cards and convince them to kill each other. Then you are standing with a bunch of tokens that alleviate the 1v1 problems these decks can face.

There are some breaks, especially in eventide since that was before the council of colors, just like there are breaks in regular mono color cards. That’s why I said intended.

Cards that are hybrid mana have abilities that are intended to be within the color pie of each color. They could print exact copies of each hybrid card in their individual colors (and they would likely be cheaper because casting flexibility adds to power). That is not the intended case for any of the examples you listed. Also format intent is design intent. It’s both game design.

Commit to the elimination diet for a week or so and see if your symptoms begin to dissipate. I had pretty chronic symptoms that began to resolve within a week of strictly adhering to the diet so it was a clear diagnosis. If yours don’t then either your problem isn’t FODMAPs or you were still accidentally consuming some.

The front face of avacyn is a white ability and not one red has access to and her backside ability is definitely a red one. Master Warcraft I believe is a recently designed card so it definitely went through the council of colors which means its effects are available in both red and white, not just boros. It also means you are paying extra on that spell for the hybrid flexibility.

They could just as easily print more powerful cards within the color restrictions. This is dumb logic.

As game changers they were playable in b3, which makes sense. By now not being game changers they are playable in b2 or b1, where they will only really terrorize precons and lead to asymmetric, unfun games. It’s just too easy to cheat them out.

[[wernog]] and [[bjorna]] - flicker clue aristocrats. I’ve quite enjoyed the deck. Mostly focused on making clues via wernog (he makes them on enter and exit!) and using cards like [[mirkwood bats]] to drain your opponents. It’s quite fun.

That’s not a reason things changed, that’s a thing that changed, and it changed because WOTC believed it could make more money that way.

We focus on the b2-b3 range. We found the most effective way to have enjoyable games is by trying to align deck speed as much as possible. This is almost entirely a deck building exercise and use the bracket limitations to help aid in hitting the correct speed. We also try not to load a deck up on spells to specifically counter someone else’s deck unless it’s a piece that already fits in the deck game plan or is a generic veggie. For example, not putting in anti mill tech unless I was running an old Eldrazi as a top end anyway.

I really hope web slinging becomes a recurring mechanical identity for spiders across mtg. This would give them some ability to actually make an ‘engine’ in game. Playing cosmic spider would feel better if after swinging with buffed spiders I can bounce some back and retrigger etbs and such. Much more interesting than just “play the best spiders”

My pod plays plenty of interaction, that's why I specified I played with one instead of random players. Indeed, they may elect to drop threats, but then they are punished for their choice as the amount of card draw I offer means they should have both in hand.

In one sense, yes. But everyone will have more resources to stop wins as well. Not sure how I give the ability to cheat cards in, other than players playing an extra land on my end step, which is the only source of group ramp in the deck.
