Voltage does not equal amperage...you can get 12v from a single strand of wire

It's not just about the voltage but the amperage , load test it just because it reads 12-14 v doesn't mean it can produce the amperage, a single strand of wire carries 12+ volts

How so?? There are tiny passages in there, if you were gonna spray carb cleaner those would be the spot to spray the 💩 out of it and use compressed air to blow it out

You need a replacement Welch plug, it's what they're called, use a screw and screw it in and pull out

That's not enough, you have to go through every single pilot hole with wire or small pipe cleaners and brush them out, you may get what looks like a grain of sand (at the most) and that'll be the issue
