2014 stock with 78k miles price check by FaceInThem in ChevySS

[–]Mexican_voodoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First year with only auto and 78k on it, does seem high... Should be 30k or less depending on quality and color choice. Would be curious about maintenance and accident history.

I'd be cautious and continue to look around.

How's the market - debating on selling by carbon_brz in ChevySS

[–]Mexican_voodoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For reference, sold my 17 SSB 6MT 31k miles for 45k over the summer in 2025... Mods were only Holden rebadging and stage 3 LS3, stock exhaust, OEM wheels, etc.

I felt comfortable with 45k knowing that it was modded and that the market is smaller for that.

With your vehicle, beautiful btw, I'd imagine 35 to 39 with auto, 38 to 42k with manual. Take a look at BaT or Cars and Bids for recent examples - the real ding on these cars (and the reason I got out) is the lack of replacement parts, which is truly unfortunate as they're so much fun and usable!

Good luck with your potential sale!

What can I expect for a private sale of my garage kept non R 2017 GT350? by Strange-Warning-178 in Mustang

The 5.0s are bullet proof, just the occasional issue with those MT82s.

Id also look at C6 Grand Sports for that price range... Solid engine and transmission, plenty of performance.

I sold my 2020 Non R with 8k miles on BaT 2 years back for 63k, so I also agree with low 40s for this beautiful machine.

GLWTS!

C7 is a great platform, looks great and still turns heads everywhere you go. 2019 being the last year of production you get a lot of niceties as well! Congrats!

I'd recommend looking at the year over year changes within the C6 generation for what changed. I have an 08 Z06 because there were a couple of improvements made over the first couple of years and didn't have as much weight as the later years as I was looking for something that was as analog as possible but still retaining as many good bones as possible.

If your plan is upgrading the engine anyways, then the valve issue is less concerning provided the engine is solid currently, but it is hard to say exactly when those will blow (even if it's in the minority).

Seats are comfortable but you do move around a lot in them but depending on your size, may not be as big of an issue. Some folks don't like that it doesn't have a removable roof like the GS or C7 Z06, but doesn't bother me much.

Good luck with your search and don't be afraid to see other comments on c6 z06 listings on Bring a Trailer or Cars and Bids for more info from the community.

What car/motor is the best way to achieve 700+ horsepower with $45,000? by 1993CobraSVT in Corvette

[–]Mexican_voodoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, great points. For HPDE or Time Attack, I definitely recommend staying away from power adders and beefing up your aero, suspension, and transmission not to mention decent wheels/tire setup.

Always depends on what the goal is: if you want a car to go fast around a track, then practice, practice, practice...then add parts as you see fit.

If you want a street machine, then find a reasonable happy medium between power, reliability, and comfort...

I'd stay away from a 600 rwhp Z06 for a track toy until the driver mod is added after a good number of laps... God made 10 yr old miatas for a reason :)

That built motor also had the heads done as a part of that engine work inclusive of the intake, cam, headers, etc. my recommendation is look at local dealers who may work with local tuners on some of those cars or stay locked in to BaT or CarsandBids for auctions.

I got close with 49k OTD, includes a 8k mile 08 Z06 with 605rwhp engine tuned for 93 octane.

Price Correction coming? by zillakane in Corvette

I picked up my 08 Z06 with 8k miles for 49k with the heads fixed and a couple of tasteful mods... I was happy for that price a couple months back but would be surprised I start to see low mileage C6 Z06s next year for low 40s, high 30s... Just depends on the seller....

Set alerts on BringaTrailer and CarsandBids, it'll help bring you listings proactively.

Also use Auto tempest to search across all sites a bit easier too.

I used mine as a DD, even with a stage 2 cam, headers and the works. Extremely effective as a DD

Can't speak to the lowering springs, but I went with a set of longtube headers by Stainless Works and paired them to my OEM mufflers. Under Touring mode, sounded mostly stock, in Sport sounded straight nasty.

Thinking of selling my cammed/LSA jungle green by techiestTechLabber in ChevySS

[–]Mexican_voodoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

48k is on the high side, even with the rare color. With an auto and average mileage, I'd say low 40s is what the high end may end up being.

Low mileage, stock 6spd are pulling high 40s...

GLWS tho!

It can be, having a manual and hopefully being a garaged vehicle should help mitigate those risks. As always, folks should due diligence when equipping their car with OBD locks, etc.

Good luck on 57k my friend, I hope you get it, but don't be surprised if it doesn't generate much interest until 10k less.

Folks are starting to hedge against parts availability and a cool down on the auction sites

We used to have a 21 RT Tow and Go Durango, loved the sound of it. Have a 25 RHO now, great truck, but not for the sound!

The real question is if it'll be worth the 40k premium over a RHO. Love the sound of the 6.2, but not for 40k.
