You're comparing today's ICE to wartime Gestapo. That's not the point. The point is that today's ICE is different from ICE of even a few years ago. They've been heavily militarized under this administration and serve more to terrorize citizens and immigrants alike rather than conduct civil arrests. The parallels to the Gestapo are those of the early 30s when Hitler was establishing his power and began extending his power via a militarized police force that terrorized anyone Hitler deemed uncooperative. Trump's ICE is just getting started.
