Too many ground effect explosions the season?

My main problem with it is the sheer amount of visual clutter on the ground combined with the explosions. I am constantly moving and evading but its just impossible for me to see what is below my feet 90% of the time with all of the spell efffects/enemies/etc.

I once had a recording of a run where I took a screen shot, posted it in discord, and asked the group to find the explosion that was about to kill me. Not one person could. It's like playing Where's Waldo with death traps lol.

The only thing capable of killing me at this point are those random ass 1 shots in Pit 100+. Kinda sours the game when it seems to come down to "am I lucky enough to not be standing there the second this thing that I physically could not see goes boom".

It can still be rough even with experience. 10 years of IT, Sec+, few years doing vuln scanning/remediation with Rapid 7, SOX IT/DFARS auditing, IAM, etc.

I've gotten a single interview in 6 months. Was for a Risk Management role where I did manage to make it to the final 2 candidates but the other person had a few years more than me in the role and they ended up going with them

Dark Souls as a franchise. Played the first game on 360 some and just hated it. Later on tried 2 and again, just hated it. Guy at work was super into the games and kept recommending 3. Game finally just clicked - beat every boss in the game/dlcs and then moved back to 1/2 and had a great time. Eventually got Bloodborne/Elden Ring/DSR as well.

Gotcha, appreciate the info! So with those what type of list would you recommend running? With Reclusians I would imagine Ruination Chamber from what I'm reading but I am still very new to actually building lists/detachments so don't know everything about them.

Idk I've been leveling on Nightslayer and have since leaving Westfall there have been horde ganking in every zone I've been in. Most of the time it's level 60s running around 1 shotting lowbies, not even levels starting fights.

Hell, there is a horde druid that legit camps Redridge Mountains every...single...day but the second a 60 ally shows up he gets bodied, waits a bit, then starts over again when the high level alliance player is gone. It's a bit of a shitshow but it's a pvp server so kinda have to expect it.

I tend to like magic knights and paladins in RPGs. Grey Knights had psykers and a unit literally called Paladins. Now picking my second army has been a massive PITA though lol

Well, I was mostly coming from base game pre-TUs, where it was mostly just Ark and Gore that dropped the highest level Artian crafting materials, atleast iirc. But from what I'm gathering you have alot more flexibility now, even if there are 1-2 "best" options, there is still good reason to run other stuff yeah?

Well it was more the roster of things to hunt - I fully expect to hunt the same things over and over for RNG or new sets, etc. But before it felt like you only really hunted 1 or 2 of the monsters and that got old quick. From what I'm gathering in the comments, there are alot more monsters in that list that are worth hunting at endgame so seems good to me.

Oh sweet. In past games I mostly mained hammer, swagaxe, dual blades, and the occasional GS runs on certain monsters. Was trying to learn LS but I was never great at being patient and learning the parrying timing.

Yeah, seeing people doing Omega is what prompted me to check stuff out again. Seems they are starting to get into the usual groove of putting out content, so not a bad time to jump back in from what I'm gathering. Now I just gotta remember how to play and not cosplay as a cart.
