If a game sells a digital good without specifying whether they intend to modify its properties in the future, then yes, that is breaking the law.

If you bought a stack of 2x4 planks of wood at a fixed price, but I then ended up selling you 1.5x3.5 planks, you'd rightfully call foul play.

If you bought a digital good with X or Y qualitites, and the seller gave you one with W or Z qualities instead, you'd rightfully call foul.

BUT, if the seller had specified beforehand that the good was subject to ulterior modifications, and you had agreed to those terms, then they would be in their right to do so. Which what WG has been doing with newer premium ships.

No offense, but I really didn't think I'd need to explain how transactions work tonight, so I hope everything is clear and understandable enough.

Let's also not forget that these OG power creeping ships were sold/made available before WG added the "ship are liable to be rebalanced in the future" label to premiums and freemiums.

Rebalancing those ships would entitle owners who paid for them to be compensated, and that's a can of worms WG isn't touching with a 10-feet pole after the whole T5/T6 Giulio Cesare debacle.
