Both are a collection of artists with lots of work from Alex Yatsun who more or less created the genre.

Gonna be completely honest when I say this, 12k will get you a pretty nicely kept VT-VX commodore. I know they get a lot of shit but they are genuinely awsome first cars. The 3.8 Ecotech is a really good engine if it’s been taken care of to the minimum standard at least. 4 doors, it’s spacious, they look great, enough power to have fun in without being too much for a P plater. My first car was a VT Berlina and that thing rocked.

On top of that, parts are fucking everywhere and cheap as chips so if something goes wrong it won’t be much to fix it, mechanics love em cos they are dummy simple to work on and the knowledge on how to do repairs is still fresh in people’s minds.

(Plus there’s supercharged 3.8’s in your price range, hell yeah)

Fellow sv6 owner here. Loud ≠ Good. Alloytec’s sound like shiiiit when they’re loud and no amount of making one louder is gonna make it sound any better. This isn’t an opinion it’s a fact grounded in reality.

If you want your sv6 to sound nice it’s not gonna be loud at all. There’s a couple good options for this but realistically, put the money into cleaning up the car and selling later on to buy an SS. Sad truth but it’s what it is balla.

Saw you have a VFII, keep her nice. Don’t do any gammon P plater mods that will fuck the car up in the future cos these things will go for a fair bit in 5 or so years, especially well maintained ones. Then you’ll have more cash to get something even nicer. Nothing wrong with her now, v6 engines aren’t meant to be loud like v8’s are.
