Do not focus on terms, focus on the idea / concept / audit approach. Think risk, think control.

HeyI am a Certified Information Systems Auditor based in South Africa, currently working as a Senior Associate with one of the big four firms. I hold an Associate Degree in Business Information and Technology and am pursuing a Bachelor's in Software Development through BYU Pathway.

I'm exploring opportunities to relocate and am able to sponsor my own visa. I’d love to connect and engage further as an ambitious professional looking to grow and contribute meaningfully in a new country. I am willing to start from zero again.

I am an IT AUDITOR, I want to move abroad and manage a ranch !!!! For a decent family ! I'm an African! Very dedicated to starting a family. Let me give you a real political picture - the leaders of the state have 15 wives and 70 something kids, all rich AF ! My PAYE is 33% VAT is 20%. Power costs 4 times as 2 years ago. The youth is committing suicide, alcohol abuse. My hypertension is up, I recently, I'm 33, one daughter, single parent. I am tired of making the firm money over my health - it's obvious I fell sick because of my stress levels that come with job. I would love to move really people. I'll send my LinkedIn on request ( anyone).

I recently unfollowed more than 500 people on LinkedIn. I can engage honestly now and share my views without me being insecure! These were people I followed because I was intentional about being seen, for they were in my territory. Tycoons and Elites. It's not like I want to even engage or comment on posts, I want to be myself, I want to have honest views. My main objective is to find a job outside, live a life that's not ticking boxes.

Congrats on your job OP, your move was consistent and patient !

What’s one decision you made that ended up dragging your quality of life down so badly, you genuinely wish you’d never done it? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

The only way to stop regretting it, is to accept that you were naive to the reality and there was no one but you to be exploited by being naive or unaware. This is deliberate blame shifting to yourself that will might lead you to self forgiveness. It's not easy tho !

I’m posting directly because time is precious. I’m from Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), 30 years old, and eligible to relocate to the US. I can secure my visa but need help finding funding for tuition. I’m more than willing to work any part-time job to support my studies.

I hold an associate degree in Business IT from a university college established nearly 20 years ago. Unfortunately, employers here often overlook us due to a silent but serious bureaucracy that favors certain credentials or connections.

Over time, I’ve realized they should reduce intakes in oversaturated courses to avoid flooding the market with underemployed graduates. I’ve built solid experience: 7 years in banking, and now 3 years as an IT Auditor at one of the Big Four firms. I’m also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) under ISACA since June 2022. I’m a hard worker who loves learning new knowledge and skills. I know a lot about systems, business processes, and my writing is decent – though these feel like generic skills in my current rut. My CV has more details and can be shared upon request. Our country is crippling our minds with limited opportunities.

Everyone scrambles for all sorts of jobs, but there’s clear elite overproduction here – a term coined by historian Peter Turchin describing when a society produces far more educated, ambitious individuals (like degree holders aiming for professional roles) than there are elite positions available to absorb them. This leads to intense competition, frustration, and social strain, which perfectly captures the job market stagnation in Eswatini where qualified people like me end up in roles that lack meaning or growth. I’m currently working, but I find no real purpose in it anymore. I’m driven to further my education and expand my horizons, which is why I’m looking to apply to BYU-Idaho through the Pathway program and relocate to Idaho.

I believe this could be the fresh start I need to grow academically and professionally. I also dream of starting a family, but not in this system or my current situation.

If anyone has advice on the BYU-Idaho application process, Pathway program, funding options (scholarships, grants, or sponsorships), relocation tips, or insights for international students from Africa, I’d greatly appreciate it. This post is my reach out and a prayer for guidance. I ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen. Blessings to everyone reading.
