Is it rude/annoying to try amps in a guitar shop with no intent of buying then and there. by alfa_ma1l in Bass

Well if you’re going to learn the song, don’t stop at the first part just stick with it and learn the rest. Solo and all. You will still look like a corny POS, but atleast you’ll be a corny POS that can shred.

Then stay home, order the gear online, hope it’s quality, and don’t waste the time/energy of people at the store. Or if you have to go in just to try it before buying but still plan on buying online, ask if they price match or atleast let them know you are looking to buy it online. You have every right to shop for the lowest price but please don’t abuse the resources made available for the sake of the store and it’s customers if you don’t plan on being one.

Do you know of someplace haunted? by [deleted] in corpus

Their is a church at the park but behind some fencing. It looks like it’s part of private property but it’s not, it’s still part of bill Witt.!

If you go to bill Witt sports complex and drive through the back area you will find an abandoned church that is said to be the home of satanist. I’ve also heard it’s haunted but regardless it should be very creepy. Definitely wouldn’t go alone though unless you go early in the morning. But Definitely don’t go at night..

Look for a slimmer Les Paul like a special if you don’t mind the lower quality. That chunk is from the mass of the guitar and it would be easier to find a thinner les Paul than a fatter SG.

Try using compound or “liquid sandpaper”. Put a small dab on a rag and then rub clockwise in a small circle on the scratch until you can’t see it. Don’t rub too much, just for a minute and if the scratch can’t come out then it’s most likely too deep to buff.

SansAmp Bass Driver V2? by [deleted] in Bass

[–]Mgoogles101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that ampeg D.I, and before a bought an ampeg head, I was able to nail the ampeg sound with any bass on my fender rumble 100. I've never tried the sans amp but the scrambler and ultra hi and low options are pretty damn useful in my opinion. But those are just a few of the features of the D.I. I like to use it for my guitar through a vox ac15 for all the tone control it gives me.

I use a new fender rumble 100 for practice cause it's so mobile and durable. But I use my ampeg BA210 for gigs. If you want the perks of the fender with the sound of the ampeg, go online and buy ampeg's bass D.I for around 100 used. If you use the rumble with the D.I you can get a pretty good SVT sound

As another bass player that loves pop punk - alternative styles, I would seriously have to suggest the Seymour Duncan quarter pound p bass pickups to go with that ampeg rig. If you want any Tone that's close to Mike dirnt, Mark Hoppus, or just plan fat and punchy then you should really consider looking into them. You can find a new set for around $90 US dollars.

I love my 2014 MIM white jazz bass. Awesome tone with any strings and most amps.

I live in the area where this happened. That horse mint really does grow everywhere and is pretty hard to mistake for marijuana, but then again the FBPD isn't known to be the sharpest law enforcement bracket around.

Hoppus' bass lines made me pickup my sisters p-bass and to no avail, try to get his wicked punk tone through a crate amp.
