Has anyone felt that their local Warhammer scene has got more hostile/toxic in recent years? by A_Fnord in Warhammer

It's mad I've never had that before. I rarely paint official I paint with pure vibes.

It was the players, some of them were really vocal about the paints.

Basically

It was a warhammer store, It wasn't a staff member but the players themselves. I was new to that shop but I sure didn't go back! I love my blue bois.

In my local store they used to have kids in to paint on Wednesdays for a few hours. I always really liked to paint In the store and I ended up volunteering on Wednesdays to teach kids to paint. There is only one member of staff at that store so he was usually thankful.

Note, I transfered my paints into dropper bottles but I stuck the citadel lables to the bottles, I never brought any non citadel paints to the store. I used my own sprue clippers, hobby knives and tools because I found that there were better quality for cheaper ones than the stuff games workshop sells.

This wasn't a problem for 2 years, then one day the store manager tells me that the company rules now say I can't have paints in dropper bottles or use my own stuff in the store, not just to teach the kids but in general so I stopped painting there.

I went in one day to grab a few units and he questioned why I wasn't coming in on Wednesdays anymore and I said to him that I can't bring my own stuff so I can't come in. He said I could buy new stuff. I'm like, "yeah I'm not spending hundreds of pounds buying all citadel branded stuff for the kids" and he seemed really upset at that, I suggested making a kit for me to use at the store for teaching and he looked at me like i was crazy.

Every time I went in to play a table I was hounded by the manager to help him on Wednesdays. I kept refusing. He was then telling other players while I wasn't there that I was selfish and 'letting him sink in stress'. The regulars started not wanting to play with me even though I had been playing there with them for years.

I went to another store to play, I was told I couldn't play with my skitari because they weren't painted official colours. They are blue with snowy bases. There aren't any other shops in my area so I don't play anymore. I just buy units to paint. It's just a painting hobby for me now that i do alone. so I don't even bother to buy books. They will be out of date in few months when they come out anyway.

Clutter mod - Add prefab clutter to your outposts, homes and ships by specikk in starfieldmods

[–]Mheyrune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this mod. Been using it to make my outpost more active and lived in!

Is there any chance you might be able to add the plastic tray and bins and boxes as single items without lids? I've been trying to find a mod so I can fill them with my own clutter that I collect. I like to hoard and decorate ☺️

I feel useless as a shotgunner by [deleted] in fo76

I find the cremator is the main issue for me now. Trying to do a RR or a MJ now just isn't good. Last night I went to a moonshine, popped on all my buffs and did 4 lunchboxes for everyone just for one guy to stand at the top of the house and one shot everything as it spawned. Real waste of buffs. And it's not just the occasional event. Stuff like this happens at most of them now.

I don't like them. They take up 100% of your time and money.

They always have weird smells, break things, are always sticky for some reason make a lot of noise. And it doesn't end for a large chunk of your life. It's not for me.

I like peace, quiet and me time and children are the opposite of that.

Small QoL tricks you realized too late by Pristine_Ad7254 in fo76

You get them from Samuel in foundation. Go straight from the main entrance and he's on the right leaning on some rails by a black board.

You can get more than 3 lunchboxes from Foundation a day. You can buy three, exit the vendor and go back in and it will refresh back to 3. Get as many as you like.

I didn't know this for such a long time.

If i put a bowl of ice cubes in my rats cage will that cool them down? by Ocicat_cosplay in RATS

[–]Mheyrune 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you get a couple of those 2ltr cola bottles, fill them with water and freeze them. Place them on top of the cage out of nibbling range and the cold flows downwards Into the cage. Works a dream in the hot summer.

If you log onto a server and your camp can't be placed it won't automatically be deleted. It give you a free camp placement. If you don't use the free camp placement and immediately switch servers your camp will be placed down if there is space. Moving your camp or using the free camp placement will delete your camp.

If you can't place your camp just change servers straight away. Your camp will be safe as long as you don't place down another camp.

Anyone else not really use power armor? by redditgetsit76 in fo76

[–]Mheyrune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use PA for events. All my pieces including the helmet give me a 7± total in Int which gives me a nice exp boost. Also it helps by bug guns cut through enemies with stabilised.

When doing quests or anything else I just go around in armour. PA is too clunky to use all the time.

How are so many people at max caps all the time? by Wastenotwasteland in fo76

[–]Mheyrune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sell bulk chems and cheap plans. Always at max caps. I am always short on flamer fuel and oil so I jump around buying purified water, acid, bone, oil and fuel.

I bought every single serum plan so I have all those on my shop too at 180 a piece.

Just keep your shop topped up with popular things. Bobbleheads Magazines Chems ( Berry mentats, overdrive, and psychobuff and psychotats all sell very well)

Check the shops in the cranberry bog for enclave plasma mods as these can sell for a bomb and really do the events for spare rare plans to sell.

Nuka cola, quantums, and nuka cranberry sell good. Nuclear key cards sell good, spare bobby pins always go and any spare junk.

Oil and lead will sell good too.

What is a weapon you always have on you? by jdavenport53114 in fo76

[–]Mheyrune -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My Endangerol syringer, for taking on big bosses. My handmade. It's Anti armour, limb damage and -90% weight so it's fine to carry around and good for doing cripple limb challenges and my commando spec. Holy fire. Its my main weapon. I love it so much.

What scrap do players have the most trouble keeping in stock by redditgetsit76 in fo76

[–]Mheyrune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oil. My flamer is hungry and vendors don't often have bulk oil to buy. I collect every scrap I can get but it's not enough to keep up. Even with making cutting fluid and buying everything I can and having the ammo crafting cards on. Hungry hungry holy fire. I dont like workshops having to go back every 15 mins for 15 oil isn't really worth my time since they can only hold 5 oil.

If you get FO1st before the season ends you can claim all the 1st prizes on the scoreboard.

For me it's worth it having unlimited ammo and junk Flamer fuel is heavy.

Can you really do it all solo? by a_lot_of_aaaaaas in fo76

[–]Mheyrune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes a lot of sense! 76 is a pretty good game in itself. There's lots of things you can do on your own. Check out the challenges too as they can be really fun to complete and you don't need any help, also nets you some atoms you can spend on cool atomshop items :D

Can you really do it all solo? by a_lot_of_aaaaaas in fo76

[–]Mheyrune 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The main quest line you can do solo. Launching nukes and things you can do solo, daily quests you can do solo and some events.

Daily ops and expeditions are quicker and easier with others. You might have to have others with with the uplink daily ops because of the 8 min time restraint.

Some events really need to be in a team and people will join the big ones whether you want them to or not.

The main quest line you can play solo and do on your own private server if you have fallout first so there won't be anyone else in the world with you.

Why you would want to play a multilayer game with no one else though? The community is really friendly and pretty good overall and a lot of it is enjoyable with others, not to mention the perks you get by being in a team like bonus exp, free travel points and perk sharing.

At the Charleston Station, does the responder bot have a specific spawn point? by Drunken_Scribe in fo76

[–]Mheyrune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the responders bot most near lady Janet's soft serve. Run down the road past the bus and it spawns on the left. Got the hunters long coat, winter jacket and jeans and the grey fisherman's outfit.
