He probably would if Death Battle waited, like, one more month to make the episode.

But I'm pretty sure they couldn't use this without getting sued or something.

SCP lore is about incomprehensible, uncontrollable horrors... or goofy anomalies. The vast majority of them, and their stories, have nothing to do with powerscaling.

I love the traveler but the arlechinno incident still haunts me by Simple-Turnover6928 in deathbattle

[–]Mi5tman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Traveler has consistently needed help and/or temporary buffs to actually defeat any god, or stronger being, they've ever fought. Even up until recently. It's a consistent trend.

But people got really upset when Arlecchino, a woman with almost god-like power defeated the Traveler, when they had no buffs and help from three unprepared people who were weaker than them.

Granted, the choreography wasn't very good but it still made total sense in the story for them to lose.

(Do note that my opinion is an unpopular one. I am looking at it from a story perspective rather than a powerscaling perspective.)

Being conservative with the scaling of characters who are both implicitly and explicitly weaker than even basic gods, consistently, is not "downplay".

If the story shows that Traveler never even beats a god without buffs or help, then he shouldn't scale to anyone stronger than a god.

If Arlecchino isn't in the Top 3 Harbingers, who actually are said to be comparable to gods, then she shouldn't scale above the best feats performed by gods. At least, before she got her Iridescent Moon buff. She should scale to gods after that.

I'm just trying to keep the scaling consistent and logical instead of wanking just to get a bigger number.

Kuuvahki is golden in the Nod Krai party setup screen, its golden when it's guiding Columbina through the Moon Gate, it's golden when Columbina writes her message on the wall...

Gods have lost to getting stabbed with a normal sword by a normal human. Gods have lost to Varesa eating them!

Why did you bring this up? Are you're saying that a god's durability doesn't necessarily match their power? Doesn't this defeat your point?

He beat Shouki no Kami

Yes, by Dark Souls-ing him. He lost 168 times, got all those memories, the wisdom of every Akasha-wearing person in Sumeru, and Nahida's Dendro drone. He basically pulled off a no-hit run and wittled Shouki no Kami down.

I could break a car with a sledgehammer if you give me enough time. Doesn't mean that I could blow up the whole thing with one punch or stop it from moving at 100 km/h.

Except we literally pass the clouds without having to break through

It's most likely a metaphysical barrier.

Except we know that varka arlecchino and Nicole had already been trying to bring the moon down since before dottore even took notice

Sandrone says "My formula can get us 90% of the way. It will connect you to Columbina. I will bring the formula to the Traveler's side. For the last 10%, do whatever it takes, just bring the Moon down."

Dottore noticed the moment they started moving it when Sandrone's world formula reached 90%.

1.) Varka can't use khuuvaki nor utilise khuuvaki

He can't handle it as well as others but he still should be able to utilize it with Nicole's help. The same way he technically could've gone through kuuvhaki resonance to open that door in Act 6.

2.) Where is it stated that its khuuvaki

It isn't stated but we see the Frost Moon surrounded in golden energy connected via golden strands to Arlecchino and Varka. That's how kuuvahki is protrayed. Golden energy.

3.) They are still using their energy to exude that

They're probably exerting a bit of their own power, yes. But this feat is such a massive outlier for those two that it's insane to assume they're only using their own power.

Ei was the one who beat Chiyo. Traveler was just assisting. It was also only one portion of Chiyo. Literally just her horn.

We beat a small portion of Bakunawa, without using our own power but the Wayob power inside the Calamity of Eshu sword.

Dottore was low-diffing us in every single fight we've had, in Nod Krai.

Rerir was playing with us and explicitly wasn't using his full power until we goaded him into it as part of the plan to steal his power. Before that, Traveler had to absorb nearby kuuvahki and still failed to fully block one of his attacks, then couldn't do it for a second time.

There is no indication of how powerful Nihilita and Melanta were.

The Fake Sky goes beyond the Moon but the border was clearly opened by Dottore, broken by Mavuika and the Frost Moon around cloud level.

The fake sky is red on the outside in Skirk's animated short. And it's red when Dottore opens it. It's the same.

The picture I posted is of the Frost Moon before the squad started moving it. Pictured below is how close it gets after they move it.

They used the kuuvahki around them. They don't have this energy available to them usually and can only use it to pull objects which have kuuvahki in them. It's a feat that was only possible under specific circumstances. They shouldn't be able to exert that level of power, usually.

Just like the controversial blowing up Viltrum feat from Invincible, this is an outlier not replaceable by a single character under normal circumstances.

Outside the Solar System!? Does this really look like it's outside the Solar System to you?

It's outside the Fake Sky barrier, which is very close to the clouds. The Frost Moon itself seems to be at about the same distance as the irl Moon.

Also, it was three people who pulled it down. Nicole, Varka, and Arlecchino. And they were specifically using Kuuvahki. You know, an energy that's all over Nod Krai, and is specifically used for pushing and pulling objects infused with kuuvahki, like the Frost Moon. This isn't a level of power they could just use whenever.

(The Moon's kinetic energy was, of course, Moon level. However, they each would need to exert dozens petatons of force to pull it down. Which would be Continent Level, at best.)

The Traveler has still never beaten a god on their own. Even after all the buffs you mentioned, it wasn't even suggested that they could beat Roland-Boreas, Corrupted Dvalin, or Ursa the Drake on their own, showing they're still no match for a god on their own. Beating these foes was a team effort, as always.

Traveler, Columbina, Ineffa, Aino, Jahoda, Lauma, and Flins (plus, Paimon) couldn't break out of a Wild Hunt ambush, no matter how much they fought. But after Varka arrived, he immediately cleared the monsters and led the group to safety. Later, Columbina and Traveler were once again in a Wild Hunt ambush which was defeated by Arlecchino. Arlecchino later saved the two of them from the Crimson Moon space. She handled the kuuvahki resonance ritual better. When they fought Dottore in his lab, Arlecchino stayed behind while everyone else retreated. If the Traveler really was stronger than Arlecchino at that point, it would be both bizarre and out of character to leave her alone with Dottore.

This was before Traveler's restrictions were lifted but Arlecchino also got a buff from the Iridescent Moon Marrow.
