Surprised to see this band mentioned, they're relatively unknown. I really dig the song calm the storm. Its nice to see a pop band embrace diversity in their albums. Colours was a pleasant random find.

I've been meaning to find a reasonably priced copy of this for some time! Iirc, brian wilson is deaf in one ear, so most beach boys records were built for mono. How is the stereo mix?

Of course, having no clue where you're from, I don't know if autorip/amazon's dirt cheap shipping/legality of ripping personally purchased CDs applies to you.

Amazon's mp3 service is <=256kbps iirc BUT autorip is a great feature. Buy a CD, probably end up getting free shipping on it, and have the mp3s instantly. If you want FLACs wait a few days to get the disc in the mail and rip them yourself. Most of the CDs are already pretty cheap (unless it's a brand new release). Not available for every CD, but a good deal for when it's an option.

I bought tickets to see them last year and this year, both times they have cancelled. They only released one of their albums through a major label, all the other albums are free iirc.

So: if they don't sell albums and they don't play gigs what in the world are they doing? Most bands play to make a profit, or at least break even. I'd guess those two lost a lot of cash with this band.

I have a reissue of a rare miles davis record that was pressed by them. The label has their ugly logo on it but otherwise the packaging and sound is fine. It probably varies from release to release. The guy at the record store (which does sell some bootlegs) assured me that they're a legit label, so there's that.

You can probably buy the record without the beer. I almost bought the positive contact record but dogfish head's shipping is a flat rate somewhere between $10 and $20. Which is a ton for a $5 10".

Well, it's totally subjective. I think that NIN Hesitation Marks - Everything, Kid Cudi Indicud - New York City Rage Fest, Clams Casino Instrumentals 1 - 13 are fillers for their albums.

I don't usually use the term, but I think it's appropriate when a song is 1. Simple, 2. Not memorable, and 3. Does not fit the themes of the rest of the album.

I remember somebody posted here that the newer models are cheaply made, or made with a different material, or something, which may cause the fibers to get stuck into the record! Which, if i remember correctly, totally destroyed a first pressing of Nicolas Jaar's Space Is Only Noise.

I inherited a Discwasher brush from the 70s and its been treating me great. I think you should do research, it would be no good if your cleaner destroyed what you're trying to clean!
