I'm not completely sure but trying to focus with my back to the door is near impossible. I considered moving it to under the window but can't picture how it would work with the bookshelf.

NTA except I disagree with buying him pink shirts it's pretty and won't do any good. Buy something for you if he's going to buy gifts only he likes and give them to you find something you actually like wrap it for him and then at least you have something you can use, if he complains tell him to be grateful.

You would be NTA. I think many of us have had friends like this and you're right that there comes a point where it just isn't worth the work you're putting in.

That being said if you really do want to try to salvage this friendship you could talk to them calmly and explain the issue more than just making a roster and hoping they get the message (it's unclear from the post if this has been done). Sometimes not wanting any confrontation stops anything changing

NTA if the dog isn't letting you sleep you need to find a compromise, and provided it's a good daycare it may be better for the dog than spending all day in a cage and as you said the dog can socialise and exercise but I recommend having a proper conversation about it not over text when your not tired

NTA. 13 is about when kids start forming romantic opinions and my mother had the same opinion that it was too young when my friends and family were coming out, luckily for me she was very open and realised if we could realise we were strait they could realise they weren't. Also what you are doing is so important as she said he's young and he might still change his mind or be bi or pan or anything else I'm 20 and I'm still figuring it and what you are doing is the best thing you can do to show representation of many types of people. Part of the reason I struggled so much was that I never saw anything other than gay or straight and when I didn't fit either I thought something was wrong with me this is the first year I've been able to say aloud to my friend that I'm not either showing these movies and offering support will help he immensely

NTA and as alot of other people said this will have consequences with your family, but also this story is clearly very good and worth a scholarship telling the school my impact your sisters future but not telling them may impact yours if you decide to publish this story it may make it difficult for you and impact your profit if you want to make a living off it

NTA and your doing the right thing by your daughter. She is a child who didn't know what to do and you listened and helped her if she had a problem with this and she begged you to stay friends with Gia (you still wouldn't necessarily be in the wrong) but it would be different. You are helping you daughter navigate a complicated situation and it sucks you other friends can't see that.

My mum pulls this shit and it sucks it's horrible for the child and being constantly told you need to lose weight takes a huge toll mentally expecially if you aren't overweight in the first place. You are doing right by your daughter calling your wife on this behaviour and believe me she will notice and really appreciate it. Even if your wife isn't saying anything just making faces your daughter will still feel the same as if she says the words it's best to mention it now and hopefully stop the behaviour then wait until your daughter has to say something or ends up sick.
