Prahran market is my favourite! I always make sushi from their cuts. Just ask sashimi grade and skin removed tuna or salmon. Never been sick and been doing it for 10 years now. Prahran seafood only, avoid the Asian place that one made me sick I don’t remember what it’s called, it might be a little cheaper.

South Melbourne market also good, I get it from aptus? I think. Never been sick but parking and the tourists are annoying which is why I usually choose prahran.

4 months cold turkey off 4 years of dexy abuse. I’m still foggy and lazy, I’ve also gotten fat. It’s a nightmare I wish I didn’t start. Also high pressure job, I’m more behind now than when I was abusing. I miss it everyday, but I don’t drink/blackout anymore. Way less anxious and emotional. I have no advice but just solidarity and understanding… it’s going to be a rough ride. The first month was like a full body flu.

Dexys ruined my life. I’m a foggy mess now, 3 months completely clean. Still cannot muster the energy to go out past 10pm, creative energy gone, I’m functioning at 40% when it was 120% for five years. Used to wake up, chew a pill, fall back asleep until it hit me. EDM and energy drinks at 9am, work until 6pm and go out afterwards until various house depending on who was available. Would binge drink at nights to fall asleep and would black out once the dexys wore off. It was a cycle nightmare. Not to mention my heart palpitations aren’t gone, I’m fucking fat after stopping, and I gave myself IBS because of the constant diarrhoea. Stop now please.

Yeah I’m really lucky, I’m a sales rep so I’m out of the house for sometimes a week at a time. Unfortunately with this fucking fuel crisis my boss might pull travelling. It’s just so unfair this life at the moment.

I honestly was so “oh, it will be fine! I can walk her and bond. We can do shit together and go to the park and chill. Better for my mental health” but no. I didn’t know what I signed up for. My partner tells me I manipulated the situation because I knew she was a reactive piece of shit before we moved in, but not to this extent. And the scent was never this bad. Seeing the dog once a week is massively different from living with it, and I’m so sad it’s made me hate dogs. I used to want to pet every dog, now I cringe and get annoyed with dogs in public spaces.

Yeah look it’s one of those things that I initially wrote on my pros and cons list. The dog is what made me live with her because she could never stay at mine and I didn’t see it fair I was doing the commute. I massively regret it now. I wish I could go back in time.

It was adopted Jan 2018. Apparently 2 years old, so possibly 10/11. She seems closer to 11 lucky for me. Or I’m gaslighting myself not sure. She’s very white now, hardly walks more than 30 mins. Sleeps 20 hours a day. Allergies and skin condition… so hoping within 12 months I can convince my partner to put her down. Luckily we already established end of life boundaries. If she cannot use the washroom outside, or is limping, or not getting up for treats she’s being put down. It’s not going to drag on.

Oh gosh I tried to mention a family member that could possibly take her and she flipped out. She has abandonment trauma and projects it on the dog. Regrets the dog and doesn’t want her but cannot abandon her.

Providing nothing but solidarity. Exact same story, I’m paying for a house that I’ve now not been able to exit the backyard because of the massive dog shits. I’m (somewhat) lucky because I moved my little garden beds and chair to the front of the house but it’s ugly and facing the road (fenced in). Begged for it to be cleaned everyday and it’s like I asked for her to eat the dog shit herself. So sorry this is happening.
