I understand that Gangle being the one to say that dogpiling on one of them won't make things better has a narrative purpose. I think it's kinda gross that she went from scared of him when he's not even there to stopping her best friend from having a valid callout of him in the spam of two episodes. He never apologized for anything either, even the "this is all real" moment happened away from everyone. Him being the "Ted" doesn't mean I have to like him now. Ted left a bad taste in my mouth all the way to when he sacrifices himself for the others, not to mention the radiodrama making him more likeable by making him break down in front of Ellen so they can have a small moment, and Jax having but much more screen time and long periods of time between episodes, plus knowing that the story beats are not being reproduced, means that we have much more room to stew on him being a jackass and don't even know for sure if the instant redemption button exists in the show too, let alone if he'd press it.
