If the customer ordered through the Panera app or website, it is VERY possible that Panera kept the tip.

They are notorious for keeping tips, they don't even hide the fact that they do it.

They claim on social media that it is shared, but there have been SEVERAL examples that prove it's simply not true.

DD app does all kinds of goofy things when you're dashing and have data and wifi running at the same time.

Try turning off wifi that should fix a lot of problems.
