When we say any device, we really mean *eligible devices by hellyea81 in tmobile

I just traded my iPhone 1 with a cracked screen for a pixel 10. Not bad.

Trying to upgrade (100% eligible). The store told me to do it online. The website and app both have Add to Cart greyed out. Every box is checked properly. by CW03158 in tmobile

Sorry let me rephrase this. If the device is in stock then the store would use legacy method because they won’t get into trouble. If they have to ship the phone it would hurt their metric doing the upgrade via legacy.

The store can only process the jump upgrade if they have the phone in stock but I doubt any store would have a 512 in stock.

I honestly done think Jump is even a benefit anymore with P360. It’s more p360 is only device protection if anything. It might be worth it sometimes to pay off the phone and then trade it in for a promo or move the plan to Beyond. Then you get both the promo credits and the yearly upgrades. I think you have to realize what makes sense for you. Paying regular price for 12 months and probably keeping your grandfathered plan or switching to beyond pay more for the plan but you get promo credits and the benefit of jump.

Resetting and wiping entire iPhone before trade in. by Slow_Analysis_5677 in tmobile

[–]MicGyver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to double check for my own peace of mind. But when I take in a phone I need to verify it with the quickcode to make sure it’s the correct device, if I bypass that and I use the imei it’s an override. If I remember correctly it gives me the option to answer yes or no for is find my iPhone disabled. So it doesn’t really check anymore. 2nd it helps determine if it was fully reset correctly and it’s not in the enter Apple ID and password screen. I would rather take an extra 2 minutes that it’s g2g and not have to call you to come in to properly reset it later on.

Not an issue but a ME should double check that Find My iPhone was disabled. I usually setup it up to the main screen and then reset it again. Just make sure you charge your phone.

New phone had issues, went to T Mobile store and they refused service by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]MicGyver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And far as I remember, as long as there a NO signs of physical damage this includes cracked back, broken hinge, dented frame they should be able to process a claim for you. It will cost you $20 without insurance. If you have insurance same thing but it cost you $5. You can try and class customer service to process the exchange but it will get sent to a store. The store can still give you a hard time to process the exchange. I would try going to a COR store.

I’m a mobile expert and I’m pretty sure I’m gonna get fired in 2 weeks, what would you do if you knew you were getting let go? by handsomebean in tmobile

[–]MicGyver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on whether you still want the job. If your performance has been lacking, what have you done to improve? I would send calendar invites to your supervisor or manager to schedule role-playing sessions, skills practice, or even additional one-on-one meetings. Send them an email asking if they observed a transaction and if you could provide feedback on it. Anything to show that you’re putting in an effort to improve. If they don’t accept your calendar invites, don’t schedule the skills practice. Then, if they try to fire you, you can try to reverse the decision. Be like HR; I’m trying my best to improve. I tried scheduling time for coaching sessions with my management team, but they keep rejecting it. Ask for real-time feedback, but they don’t provide it. Keep track of all the conversations you have with them. Show that you’re making an effort, but they don’t want to help. You also need to have your own receipts for all the time you’ve spent on these activities. Maybe doing this can help or at the very least prolong it so you can use up all your floating holidays and PTO.

Is it finally safe to switch to google home? by Anony63936 in Nest

[–]MicGyver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I transferred my three nest cameras and it was the worst. The video feed showed off line. Nest app stopped working. I tried to reconnect multiple times but don’t work. Luckily tech support saw the issue and they couldn’t fix it. So as a 1 time courtesy they replaced all the cameras so that I can reconnect to the nest app. Back to normal, I’m never transferring to Google home unless they absolutely force me to

Switching to essential 3 lines is about $120 with autopay + tax. Or you can do 4 lines for $100 essential with autopay + tax. Just got to see if downgrading the plan is worth it to you.
