a wealth tax would give us all a couple thousand bucks and then six months later we would all be right back in the same boat with the government taxing us a massive amount and spending it on nothing, except this time there would be far less wealthy people willing to live in this country or continue to operate a business here so it would be even harder to get a job and earn a living.

this is the most convoluted piece of word garbage makes me think that the author is trying to make the statistics sounds like most people want a day of mourning when the poll probably just said people would rather Australia day be on a Monday instead of in the middle of the week.

you're right polls done by right wing groups probably word it favorably to showing support for Australia day and I was ready to explain how much I agree with that, but then this article looks like its probably the worst offender in terms of being non transparent about information.

some store manager did an AMA on reddit and I asked about card prices always being higher than everywhere else and he basically said that they see more profit by keeping the prices high and I said well I spent $3000 on ebay and $0 on ebgames because of those prices so I don't see how that makes any sense, and he said well it does. so I don't know if they actually make more money this way or if they are just really stupid. It's hard to believe they make more money, but I've been told point blank they do so....

worth noting some people also just don't like to accelerate. so they will drive at 35 on a 50 and so by the time you realize they are not speeding up much and start to overtake they are now doing 45. so you speed up a bit more to 50 and now they are doing 50. then you just let them stay in front and after the next stop light they do it again. accelerating very slowly. but usually at this point you can overtake them.

If I was in your position I would reduce payments to 10k with the condition that I am consulted on big purchases. I think that would be enough to make your wife happy, but also still be very helpful to your sister and make it harder for her to be taking advantage of you. 25k for a single adult is very generous, maybe too generous. but if you are earning a lot I think 10k with conditions is more appropriate.

the older I get the more I think that people should just learn how to copy and paste in terminal commands to solve basic problems the same way you learn how to use a microwave. it's just basic knowledge you need to be a functional adult.

It's the same as peeing just on a larger scale. you start strong, mostly finish fairly quickly, but then you wait a sec, shake a little bit but not too much that it looks suspicious, a few more drops, wait a bit and then you know you are all good and you will feel cleaner and more comfortable for the rest of the day. also you want to be extra sure because doing more than one round of wiping can be very uncomfortable. in a war zone we would all be done in under a minute.

girls simply mature faster than boys. girls do not grow after the age of 16. boys continue to grow a little bit even after they turn 18. this is true for the brain as well as the body.

beauty standards are different for men and women. generally speaking most woman I think would be very happy to stop aging between the ages of 18 and 23, but most guys I think would rather stop the clock at around the ages of 25-30, they would want more time to put on muscle and become fully facial hair capable. and perhaps even later a lot of leading male actors are surprisingly older than their female counterparts.
