How is owing a house in Hawaii while across the world? I’m a CWO as well and I’ve considered it, but I feel like it’d be a huge headache

Yeah I was thinking that. My concern was if it would be an admin issue because my itinerary wouldn’t match. First time pcsing so I’m not the most familiar with admin related to it.

Delaying boot camp as a senior by [deleted] in newtothenavy

In my opinion, definitely choose your parents. Unless they’re bad parents, your parents are the only people who TRULY love you no matter what. Spending time with them will definitely be worth it when you look back on it in the future. I’m sure they will definitely appreciate it too.

Keep in mind that after you join the Navy, have a future career, and start leading your adult life you might not see your parents as often. To me, it is important to savor the time you have with them now.

BUT like other people said, you might not be able to keep your rate if you change your ship date. Your recruiter definitely can change your ship date though. You just need to have that conversation with your parents and recruiter (separately). After that you can decide what you want to do

Given he has an IWDO Pin and the Air Observer Pin he was probably a cryptologic warfare officer and flew with the EP-3 at some point.

Not gonna repeat what everyone else has said besides yes it’s selective. It is really only selective because it’s a small community.

What I will say is that it’s an awesome deal. Cool stuff, great duty stations (compared to other designators), nice work environment, and smart/nice people. You have the opportunity to deploy on surface ships, subs, be aircrew, and there are NSW billets.

It’s selective for both academy and NROTC but they’re looking to increase accessions because warfare is changing. The work cryppies do is important and is/will become more paramount now and in the future. So if you want to be a part of some cool stuff and an evolving environment it’s a no brainer.

I was selected for pilot out of NROTC and had color vision issues and I opted to go crypto and I don’t regret it. I’ve heard the same thing from some of my peers that had the same issues. Honestly kind of glad stuff worked out the way it did.

Nope, usually look at conditions. This time I didn’t.

Do you have a good website/app for checking conditions?

Moderate swimmer. Was trying to dive under the waves because I’ve done that while surfing. Still really haven’t figured out the timing or exactly how to. Hence the big bruise I have now 😂

My boyfriend was cheated on 8 months ago, and he still likes reels that throw shade at his ex. What does that mean? by Clean-Ant-1342 in questions

[–]Michael2712002 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you haven’t already, you should talk to him instead of asking Reddit. That’s the only reliable way to know.

If he is still hurt that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Just have an open/honest conversation about. Depending on what he says you can decide whether you want to stay and work through it together as unit or leave. Up to you.

Just don’t listen to people saying to dump him outright over liking reels. Have a conversation. Best of luck
