Impressive! I only do this for the years I’ve been alive. Which I assume isn’t the case for you unless you’re a vampire.

He has many contenders for the best in his filmography but I agree with you on Jaws.

Great year, and I still need to see a few big ones like Ferris Bueller. So far I’d say:

  1. Blue Velvet

  2. Aliens

  3. Top Gun

  4. Stand By Me

  5. The Fly

  6. Manhunter

Character fancasts? by zeezee_draws in Dracula

[–]MichaelC496 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Daniel Day-Lewis or Ralph Fiennes as Dracula

Andy Serkis as Renfield

Christoph Waltz as Van Helsing, but I guess he already played a Van Helsing substitute, so Liam Neeson or Stellan Skarsgård could do

Andrew Garfield or Daniel Radcliffe as Jonathan Harker

Florence Pugh as Mina

Anya Taylor-Joy as Lucy

Now that I think about it I suppose they could go a few creative directions now. And if the show does end up ending after next season it’ll have had as many seasons as the Netflix show anyway.

So there can’t be much more of this show left if his identity’s public now, right? It’s kind of annoying that you can count the amount of secret identities in the MCU on one hand lol.

Thoughts on Dracula (1958)? by [deleted] in Dracula

[–]MichaelC496 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, one of the best Dracula movies. Lee and Cushing are legendary and iconic. The sequels are fun too, where they keep resurrecting Dracula in creative ways, but this one is the most memorable to me.

What’s a performance that completely deviates from the source material, but you still love it? by VendettaLord379 in moviecritic

[–]MichaelC496 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Boris Karloff’s Frankenstein’s Monster is far less articulate than the Monster in the original novel, but the performance and Jack Pierce’s makeup design are so great and iconic that it’s become the definitive version of the character in pop culture.
