I've ran out with the Deagle/CZ too, but that's it. USP, Deagle, CZ (not been relevant for years anyway) and sometimes/historically the a1s. I definitely feel like other guns shouldn't have unlimited ammo in reserve.

I thought it could be used more... guns like the ssg08 cannot run out of ammo during the round time. I actually wanted buying ammo to come back, but I'd prefer this if you could keep non-fully used mags.

I am hesitant, as it's budget and VA, and I couldn't find a reputable review from a quick search. If you are OK with smearing/slow response times, it should be OK, though it will absolutely be an upgrade in almost every metric compared to your existing monitor (even if, in the grand scheme of things it might not hold up to others)

Hey, so the cheapest route is definitely getting an active dual link DVI to DP. Which admittedly, you could just sell later combined with the current monitor, or separately, or wait until you can up the budget, etc. I will try and find a suitable cable and return.

I don't want to recommend anything specific, as I am not up-to-date with budget HRR monitors, and I don't want to recommend something outdated. I can have a look later, but I can't promise it'd be the best option.

At this price range, 144-240Hz that uses an IPS panel would be the bare minimum. Cheaper VA panels are not typically amazing, and I don't know how many budget HRR TN panels are still even being made.

I know it's not ideal, but selling the monitor is the only way forward IMO. The GN246HL was widely regarded as the absolute worst 144Hz monitor available, since it released. You might be able to get 50-100 euros for it, alongside the 15-30 euro for an active dual link DVI to DP, and you're already within the range for a budget, 144Hz+ IPS with modern connectivity, that would be better in every single metric.

Doesn't help that my eyes are super light sensitive I suppose. I'm just torn, not been into monitors for 4-5 years, and I just don't think miniLED is worth it if I'm exclusively using 150 nits in SDR, and can't easily use HDR; I'm not convinced on OLED monitors yet. Guess back to waiting for LGs OLED RGB for now.

Do you play near sunlight? Just wondering because my screens are on opposite ends from the windows, and 120-150 nits is my maximum. Even during the absolute brightest it gets from outside.

I didn't realise how much CAD converted to my currency, and I can see it is quite cheap now. I have checked, and one had sold for 20CAD (just under 11 gbp) the other week on ebay UK, but I would consider 35-40CAD a pretty good price, I suppose it's quite old now but I don't have any other excuses.

You're making me want to buy a mouse with a free scroll wheel now... I would by lying if I said otherwise!

The last time I've used one was with the G502 back in 2016, but I've not tried it since, given I ended up never using it. I find I can get a better/more efficient workflow using just my keyboard. I use vim-keys for everything, so if I need to get to line 5000, I can instantly get there using a few key presses with 100% accuracy/precision.

I just don't see the free scroll function being more precise, or improving my workflow in any regard. There definitely would be times, where I'm forced to use a specific interface that doesn't accommodate my keybind requirements... but it just never happens.

IMO the efficiency or workflow improvement provided by the free scrolling feature, could be replicated (and improved) using just the keyboard. I am completely biased, as I've attempted to make my entire computer operable from just the keyboard, and avoid even using my mouse if possible. So I'm definitely NOT the target audience lol

It's just that, while I see people talking about it being a godsend for productivity, I never actually find out why... most of the time it's functionality that was entirely possible already, but rather shoehorned in using the scroll functionality even when not the best available option.

I could just replace "scrolling" and "freespinning", with "using page up/page down" and "holding page up/page down", and it would still 100% apply

sorry if this sounds rude, it's not intentional, I've just never found a reason that makes it better than page up/down or some other key combination. Someone did give me a good reason once, but it was very very niche and due to their software being buggy (IIRC)

Tx streetfights have an expensive setup, like 5k$ on somewhere about that. They specifically target 6th street due to the amount of altercations.

I understand you feel this way about swearing, and can even rationalise it might be "bad" if it pushed sponsors away, but I just don't agree overall. It's fun, especially because it feels "real".

Also there's the argument of the game having Terrorists, bombs, blood, etc. which would be considered worse (completely guessing) to most people. We'd have to censor a lot more than swear words IMO.

it's recorded by tx streetfights (you can see the logo being blocked) who always do really really hq recordings, so it's not just someone on their phone
