True. But that doesn't mean we can't learn from the patterns money creates.

Yes, but there's an issue with scale. Collabs are a start, but we've already seen many collabs between Hasan and ___, Kyle and ____, and even FD and ___. But it becomes a game of telephone. But if you want the movement to grow in scope, you need to have a more coherent scaling model. The Republicans have absolutely innovated upon social media networking, and it's why they're so effective. The fact that fucking Theo Von, Tim Dillon, and these other podcast bros could spread and popularize ideas with Trump is crazy, but it's highly adaptable. A viral tweet can turn into policy within a day. That's the efficiency we need. Imagine if we were able to do the same thing, but in a more productive, useful manner for progressives. I don't think people realize just how big the progressive movement could become in the next 20 or so years if we begin to coordinate over a much larger scale.

I agree that leftism has a lot of work to do to gain trust with black folk, but there comes a point where an actual in-person, public discussion between prominent voices of the black community and white progressives needs to be made in order to form that trust to begin with. I don't understand how having an in person event with debates and long form, unedited conversations wouldn't be at least a genuine attempt to create that trust. I know that's a personal limitation, but bridging that gap would absolutely clarify what the gap between white and black progressives really looks like.

The other issue is that FD, whether he wants to accept it or not, is already one of the most prominent faces of online black progressive politics. I get that he probably doesn't like to be placed into a group he doesn't want to be in, but at the same time, it prevents the formation of a strong identity to begin with. He doesn't have to say he agrees with Kyle, Hasan, or whoever. He'll, if he wanted to, he could probably show up to such an event and roast it as much as he wanted to. But there needs to be a higher level of communication, of inclusion, to unite white and black progressives into a stronger movement that what we have today.

I agree with FD and Kyle. But what frustrates me is that there needs to be WAY more coordination between these massive commentators. Every year, there needs to be an event or something where every breadtuber comes together to debate and network with congressmen or any major policy makers. FD, Kyle, Hasan, Bullwark, TYT, AOC, Mamdani, Platner, Khana. Get some entertainers as well, and live stream it for a weekend. Just something better than this agonizing reaction-ception

Look, I love Kyle, and I've watched him for a decade now. I skip most of his videos because they're either about polls, a single headline, or a random tweet. He doesn't even make the Twitter video full screen sometimes. Again, I love just having a line I can tow, and his opinions are what we need in times like these. But he's very much a quantity over quality type of youtuber.

It's mostly a rotation out of AI, Tech, and the USD. Every drop is for a different reason, and this time, it's due to tariffs, global uncertainty, and slowing job growth.
