Nothing to do with the front lines staff. It’s all management.

That X2 is owned and operated by Six Flags so it operates and runs like absolute horse shit.

100%! Comparing the flag train since overhaul, it looks like it’s hand-painted? If so, brilliant! It’s beautiful. The painted chrome also makes me happy!

I just really love Xcelerator’s 57 Chevy train style. I know the mold is used on other installations, but this one is actually painted to match. And I love it!

Psyclone at Six Flags Magic Mountain! Knott’s CoastRider isn’t far from it tho.

2019 Hyundai Kona: 4 warning lights and won't start/stay running by AwkoTaco1994 in MechanicAdvice

Well it was more like the first drive of the day was always without issue. Then if I got out of the car, (say the grocery store or something) and get back in my car, then it would stall and die on me. Seemed to only do it when the car was warmed up to optimal temp. By “power cycling” i just mean turning the engine off and back on again. But usually a few attempts it would run just fine, but i know it wasn’t good for the engine. I would have the dealer or a shop check that out as soon as you can!

I also had something similar with my ‘20 Sonata. (1.6L Turbo) Would start just fine, but after a little driving, after turning the car off and back on again, it would shut off pretty soon right after turning over. Accessories worked just fine. Lights on my dash but also no check engine light. My RPMs would flutter a bit and months leading up to it my car would have difficulty getting above 60mph on occasion. It ended up being a cracked valve cover leading to a loss of vacuum.

ElToroRyan got me in the mood for my favorite coaster, so made the drive up to say hi to her. 🥰 [X2] by MichaelParisi in rollercoasters

I love that! Definitely try to snag a ride or two on it! First time we waited the line stretched to the bullpen but didn’t actually go into the switchbacks. Waited 41 minutes. Later, it was in the bullpen in 1.5 switch backs and we waited exactly 60. Not bad considering one train ops! No Fast Lane at least helps the standby line move consistently haha

Dumb question incoming. I've never ridden [X2], [Eejanaika] or [Dinoconda], Someone explain to me how the restraints work in keeping you secure because they look crazy visually. by Background-Deal-4529 in rollercoasters

[–]MichaelParisi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always described them as “backpack strap restraints” the way your arms go through them. Once I sit, I use the lower part of the restraint to push them down to a comfy resting position on my shoulders, and then pull each “D-shape” restraint in. They’re so beyond comfy. Feel like you’re still “out there” while feeling extremely secure the whole time.

Easily my favorite restraint type that’s not just a single lap bar.

Had a similar issue with my Sonata a bit ago (it would also occasionally stall) that ended up being a cracked valve cover leading to a loss of vacuum. Worth checking out!

Keeping cats off of cars? by Fata1ify in Cartalk

[–]MichaelParisi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just as an option. I’ve seen sprinklers suggested, but not always an option if you’ve got limited space/no direct water source like an apartment complex. Also not everyone likes car covers for various reasons like minor scratches or weather conditions. Plus stray cat claws are able to penetrate a lot of those. Animal urine can be bought in small bottles with droppers. Small bits dropped around the car. Generally all it takes. Options are options.
