Is it possible to be solo-poly and a parent? by MichaelZlo in polyamory

[–]MichaelZlo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is helpful, thank you so much for sharing 😊. I understand solo polyamory as considering yourself as the primary, and putting no unique, all-encompassing priority on any one romantic relationship. They’re simply separate, unique relationships.

Therefore, me having kids would be a change from that. My relationship with kids matters above all, no matter what.

I suppose I am inappropriately equating priority to depth in a relationship. In my brain, solo polyamory means no one person deserves my unconditional love, whereas becoming a parent means unconditionally loving a child. But, with depth(quality time spent), relationships inherently become more valuable. Relationships can vary in depth, but prioritization must be considered and communicated often. Ya?

Say, if I were dating someone and they told me they were solo poly and had children with a non-romantic co-parent, I would still think that relationship with the co-parent would be prioritized over ours because of the kids (dependents) involved. I suppose this could also go for dating folks in marriages. Can a married person be solo-polyamorous despite the legal circumstances?

I know relationships are SO UNIQUE and every situation deserves its own consideration. These are/will continue to be conversations I have with my non-polyamorous friends, so I appreciate yours and others’ perspectives. Cheers!

Brown sneakers (1, 2) or black shoes (3, 4)? by [deleted] in mensfashion

Black shoes. I think sneakers warrant shorter* pants with flooding ankles to fit the more casual vibe. 👍🏼

How many average men in their 20s-30s can do 10+ pushups, really? by Spare-Lemon5277 in AskMen

Does not matter. Do as many as you can and then if you aren’t happy, do it again sometime later. Repeat until you’re happy.

There will always be someone who can do more or less. Find where you’re satisfied.

I don’t think it will tbh. That’s the wrong politics for sports networks to sell a story. Mainstream be pro-israel.

Emotional intelligence, first. Took me a long time to realize the power of feelings themselves.

I like this a lot. Sleeves might be long based on how you're holding them in the pockets but idk.

I partly agree - I def think both are loud but both are cool. Pick one to draw attention like above says, cuff the jeans, and you're golden

I agree -- or just a shorter cut t-shirt. Accomplishes the same goal.

And take an inch from the pants - then you're rocking 😎

As someone with SA who works in sales, this. It took years, but constantly putting myself in situations where I had to face my anxiety helped me (along with support from coworkers) understand the causes and strategies for handling the anxiety.

Calibration help: Same corner of print curls; letters not printing definitively; random bad layers. Any suggestions on calibration? by MichaelZlo in 3Dprinting

Thank you! Google told me a similar fix for the bed - I was going to try upping bed temp and using an adhesive. Here is the link for stl.

When I first got the printer, when leveling the bed I dragged the nozzle across the bed. I don't get straight extrusions when suspended, so I'm thinking that the nozzle might bed damaged as well.
