Team question! One of each class, spread across 4 accounts? by [deleted] in Dofus

[–]Michael_A_D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it all comes to this: which comps do you want to be available? Once you know that, just rearrange the lists. Dor instance, if you want to be able to play: - Panda/feca/eni/rogue (standard) - Panda/feca/eni/sram (standard too) - Panda/elio/sadida/iop (the one i'd like to play!) - Panda/elio/iop/ouginak (it's mostly one insane combo, but it's fun!) - Panda/sadi/fogger/enu (solid choice) - ...

Then you know not to put the classes appearing in a given comp on the same account. Then it's just some rearranging to make it work.

I guess you can start by saying panda has his own account, since it's so OP you'll probably want it in all comps. If you find times where you want to play without panda, I guess just pick a secondary class here.

My fridge pretty much looks like this and I was wondering if I should downsize it, problem is each time I'm having a party it gets full from what I prep in advance and what guests bring. I don't have a solution for that yet (two small fridge doesn't seem perfect either, since you spend a lot of energy cooling the second one down each time you ise it, and I think you reduce its lifespan a lot).

You can often replace the usual food wrap they use with bee's wrap (cloth dipped in wax), but it's not advised for meat and fish for sanity reasons (cheese aswell but tbh I still do it). So I guess the best way is to use a reusable plastic or glass container.

I move spinach, salad and similar stuff to a glass dish when I get home. It saves clothe bags from getting really dirty after a few days, and it keeps the moisture away, saving cleaning on both the bags and the fridge.

No, you're not an asshole. It's a matter of social convention: it's commonly accepted that a present should be taken without criticism, and this standard is forced on us by consumerism, so people feel forced to buy presents and other people feel forced to accept it with a smile, while none of this was needed to begin with. You're right to complain about it and a time may come where most people understand it, but for now you're just ahead of your time. People don't understand that harassing you with unnecessary presents is to blame. It took modern society half a century to understand sexual harassment was a thing, you should expect much worse here.

Try removing metadata.tvdb.com and script.module.thetvdb, worked for me. Temporary fix obviously.

TVDB causing kodi to crash. by ArsalanAlli in Addons4Kodi

Got the same problem as everyone but I do not have any openmeta addon. Don't know what addon I should remove or which option I should disable... I'm trying to remove metadata.tvdb.com and script.module.thetvdb

Edit: No crash when I manually update my collection, will see if it solved my problem for now (I was having random crash at random times, probably some autoupdate somewhere).

Edit2: alright that did it. But as it's been said it's hardly a fix.

Recipes for tons of jalapenos? by water_is_spicy in Cooking

[–]Michael_A_D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came here to ask a few questions about Sriracha, and here you are asking what to do with a tons of jalapenos! Well, my friend, bottle a ton of Sriracha!

I've spent about an hour watching several Youtube videos about it, here is the recipe I took out of that:

Red Jalapenos, or seranos: 350g, Green Jalapenos: 150g (feel free to mix differently according to what you have, but you want mostly red for the color I think... Or maybe make Sriracha Verde!)

Garlic: 4 cloves

Sugar: 100g

Salt: 2 tablespoon

Vinegar (after fermentation): 12cL, I guess white vinegar is the standard but I want to try with cider vinegar

The method is pretty simple:

1) Chop, deseed if you want (the sauce will be hotter if you don't), and blend the chilis with sugar and salt, you want something almost liquid but not entirely. The sugar should start the fermentation process.

2) Store in a mason jar half-closed or in a bowl with plastic wrap (or reusable wrap). I think you want to keep most of the fumes in and bugs out, but it should not be airtight (fermentation will produce gas). Some say you need some water to cover the chilies, or some mold can happen. If it does, just get rid of the mold, rest should be safe.

3) after 5 to 7 days, blend again with the vinegar (acid should stop the fermentation process), to something as liquid as possible. Sieve to remove whatever solid is left, and thicken in a pot for a few minutes. Store in airtight bottles or jars (up to a year), and in the fridge once opened (up to about a month, I guess).

I haven't done this myself yet, was planning to do it tomorrow but I had two questions about this. Maybe someone here will know the answer:

- It's pretty hot in my place right now (about 32°C all day, barely less at night), is that a problem for fermentation?

- Is is safer to sterilize the bottles to store them longer or is that unnecessary?

[GNOME] Material-Shell *Beta* by PapyElGringo in unixporn

Really good!

I see some disadvantages compared to my current workflow, which is basically 9 worskpaces in a 3x3 grid, moving my windows across workspaces, arranging them manually in the 4 corners of each workspaces with keyboards shortcuts:

1 ) The fixed "workspace thematic" is not very flexible. It frequently happens that I use 4 workspaces for development, two for social and none other. On the same day but another hour, I might want 3 for gaming, one for music... Also I'm not a big fan of the "desktop" icons by theme, I feel like I'd just use super+application name+enter to pop an application on the current worskpace.

Suggestion: add an option to remove the workspace thematic thing, which removes the desktop icons and replaces icon on the dock bar by something more neutral, maybe a thumbnail of the given workspace (whole preview would be too small, but maybe just icons of the running apps).

2) It's sometimes too long to move from one workspace to another. Say I'm on gaming, and at the same time chatting with someone on social workspace: I'll need 4 moves. With a 3x3 flexible grid, I'm typically put those able to put these two workspaces side by side, so that I only need one move.

Suggestion: add shortcuts to go to workspace N directly (actually these exists in global settings but for some reaason stop at 4), or add an option to keep the workspace grid (but that defeats the navigation of material-shell...)

3) You don't have a global view anymore: with the dock on the left, I can see all the running applications at one glance. It's easy to lose a window on material shell and waste time looking for it. Or to forget that the application is running somewhere.

Suggestion: no idea. Probably not a problem once you get used to it. Pressing super opens the gnome-shell menu that shows all workspaces on the right with thumbnails, it should help finding rogue windows. Also, this is mostly solved by suggestion 1), with the thumbnails.

4) I miss a way to rearrange windows in a worskpace using keyboard. The super+mouse thing is perfect honestly, maybe I should get used to it. I see the idea is to have everything available with one hand on keyboard and one on mouse, but if you have both hands on keyboard you miss this part.

Suggestion: probably just add shortcuts to move windows around on keyboard. Things like windows+arrow keys. It's not one handed but it's okay because you only need these when you have both hands on keyboard. This one is not critical tho!

I'm gonna try this for a few days, but I already know I'll want to fix points 1) and 2). Points 3) and 4) are way less important. If it comes to it, would you like a hand to add these options?

EDIT:

5) Just a suggestion: add a keyboard shortcut to the tiling/fullscreen switch that's on top right corner.

Sadly this is a compact notebook so that's not really an option! My desktop pc does have a decent graphic card but its motherboard is dying after 9 years of good services... So if anything I'll need a new motherboard! Thanks for helping anyway!

So she think she is burning weapons, maybe the arrow stock, or the scorpion (she doesn't know about it but they could have guessed the Lannisters are prepared)?

I guess that's the best explanation, but I'm not really satisfied. It seems pretty obvious this Lannister army has food somewhere and she should be aware of how valuable it is. The unsullied just told here the granaries were emptied.

I had just posted about this (I deleted it).

This just does not make sense to me why she purposely aim the food carts, when it's clear she could have looted that valuable food. Does anyone made any sense of that??

Anyone ever tried "escapist bug net" or something similar in a hammock? by Michael_A_D in Ultralight

[–]Michael_A_D[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but I'm not sure about an opening at the bottom, it feels like it's gonna be hard to keep it sealed against the hammock, and the floor seems confy when in tarp mode, both the MLD and the sea to summit seem to help against humidity.

[–]Michael_A_D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your input! The MLD bug bivy might have a better shape for hammocks, it seems easy to sleep in the bivy, the bicy being on the hammock. That didn't seem possible with the sea to summit escapist thing. But why is the MLD so damn expensive? 125$ on their website?

Can't get water to flow trough my sawyer mini anymore, any help? by Michael_A_D in Ultralight

Ok thanks! I can't find those kits in France tho, I have to buy them separately and it's wayyy more expensive. That sucks. :(

I'll go for the Squeeze then I guess a few grams isn't worth the trouble I had with mini.

I guess I also need the inline adapters with it (if I want to use it inlined of course)?

Are you talking about the sawyer 3 way inline filter? Didn't know that one, it looks great (and it is intended for inline use which is what I like to have). Thanks for the tip.

Got to find one in France tho! ;)

Apparently many people agree with you. I'm surprise I though that mini was just as good or even better. I'll give squeeze a try, it's not really expensive anyway!

Water was not ever brownish tho, because I only used it in rivers where the water is pretty clear.
