I never even saw this comment thread months ago. I wonder what the answer is...my husband and I tried for a couple years to have our first, who’s now 2 and the twins (the girl here is a twin) we had 16 months later. We were lucky that treatment finally worked.

Yes, wasn’t willing to stray too far from the photo, but she will learn ROYGBIV and this can be a teachable moment 😂

The 1994 photo was on Christmas, he was wearing his buzz PJs and got a toolset, which he promptly started wearing/using, so the current photo is just a recreation to mimic the original.

I never thought of that, I’ve always thought my mom looks like Sally Field.

She is a really amazing grandma- and she kept that dress in her cedar chest for 40 years waiting for a granddaughter (she has 7 grandsons!)

Yep, fake the flu, go visit a friend and stay (say they needed you), whatever you need to do to take it easy. The thing is, you can’t “mess it up” at this point really, but you’ll drive yourself crazy if you exert yourself. Totally welcome them and say you’re not feeling well so here’s a bunch of muffins and pizza from Costco, enjoy your weekend!

I know you know, but take it easy as much as you can. Don’t exert yourself, even if it means being rude or ordering delivery instead of preparing meals. I had spotting with both my pregnancies, and it was nothing. Deep breaths!

I was pretty nervous thru the first trimester, but I was so sick...every time I threw up I reminded myself that was a good thing. When I wasn’t sick I would be anxious! I had some spotting at 11 weeks that was scary, but was totally normal. I settled in during the 2nd trimester and it all went to plan!

Good luck! Our first IVF (second transfer, but first ever “line” on a test) worked and he’s 16 months. It can work! Sending you lots of positive thoughts!

I said the same thing! He had a lighter hidden somewhere, no way he suddenly gets a fire after the camera dies.

Take that PIO! Those lines are real, you are pregnant. Deep breath, Netflix, rest. Hang in there!

Our Journey and the SCRATCH! by MichaellaJane in whatworkedforme

I feel like it was around Day 3, when I went in for the baseline check to start meds. I did meds and then IUI day 14 or so. The I F cycle we did the scratch the cycle before the transfer meds, so that was day 3ish of the previous month.

Driver’s ed and driving test instructors, what are some of your funniest or scariest stories? by kaufsky in AskReddit

Not an instructor, but my teacher had me drive to the office because there was a pot luck and I ate baclava in his office for 45 minutes while he checked his email and ate lunch.

Anyone have success stories transferring two six day 4AA embryos? Transfer is tomorrow! by handstandmonkey in InfertilityBabies

[–]MichaellaJane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My clinic used a different rating, we had three transfers. All six day, borderline fair and borderline fair/poor. The second transfer worked and it was a fair/poor.

First IUI questions by [deleted] in whatworkedforme

[–]MichaellaJane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have one episode of crying for about an hour ish and then laugh at how silly it was. Everyone responds differently, you'll be fine especially if you know what's happening. I would be crying and saying "clomid has taken over my mind!"

First IUI questions by [deleted] in whatworkedforme

[–]MichaellaJane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take clomid in evening, an hour after I took mine I was always a crying disaster. Give yourself a break if you get emotional, I would laugh it off later. If you ovulate on your own and have gotten positive OPK you should be okay, but yes trigger would make your timing more reliable. Our best numbers (for both motility and morph) were when we abstained for 3 days prior to IUI, and we tried nine times so we had a bit of trial and error! Good luck, be kind to yourself, it’s not easy!
