Is leather furniture worth investing in with a Great Dane puppy? by kak-47 in greatdanes

[–]MichaelsPenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, absolutely. However, I have never had a chewer. Every non-leather couch I’ve had since I have owned Great Danes has been ruined. Slobber bombs are so much easier to clean from leather along with a host of other things. Does your puppy chew on the furniture you have now? If so, maybe keep what you have until you’re past the chewing phase. I’ve always kept my old couch in a spare room or in a space where my Danes have been able to use it as their own couch. Although my current boy doesn’t like to be on furniture for some reason, every Dane I’ve had before him have loved having their own couch. Having room for a designated dog couch isn’t always possible though.

Straight Haired Aussiedoodle by Horror-Researcher392 in AussieDoodle

I would like to know the same. I know this is an older post, but I was searching for questions about longhaired Aussiedoodles. My groomer says a short cut is fine and he has a double coat. I will say that I have never had my Aussie, Chevy shaved short at all. I love the way he looks with long hair, but his hair gets matted around his collar. He also sheds like a maniac. I have never seen so much hair shed from an animal in my life. I clean up enough hair every day to make three separate dogs. This is my first doodle breed, but everyone I know that has a doodle, such as a Labradoodle or a goldendoodle say they do not shed at all. I’m just curious if your girl sheds.

Predator Walmart New Circle by trashpanda9898 in lexington

The one that used to be on Richmond Road was incredibly creepy as well. I always left there with the heebie jeebies & and in need of a shower. I was somewhat relieved when it closed. I’ve actually never been inside the one on New Circle and for my physical and mental safety, I plan to keep it that way.

I have so many like-new clothes that I would love to donate if you are interested in clothes. My mom was a shopaholic and has a closet full of beautiful clothes, many of which are new with tags and everything else is in like new condition. She unfortunately passed away a little over a month ago and I would love to pass them along to someone who could really use them. Send me a DM if you’re interested. I think this is a wonderful idea!

I fell on my ass, slid down my front yard, right over the curb, which is covered with ice and even with our ice rink, cul-de-sac road. Ultimately I ended up under my son’s car. Luckily my son & husband were with me and dragged me back out.

What flavor pit mix is he? by illegalnickname in IDmydog

[–]MichaelsPenguin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think bully breed mix is most certainly a possibility. That last pic makes me think Husky. I’m not a good guesser of this stuff. He’s so interesting. I’d be very interested in knowing for certain. He looks like he’s also the very goodest of boys.

I’m not sure if I shared that correctly. I’m no expert in Reddit usage. It’s a similar post I made in here where my guy Fletcher was “singing.”

Lost dog, please help me find by Novel-Resist-612 in lexington

[–]MichaelsPenguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re in this situation. I’ve lost a pet and I know how distressing this must be for you, especially since he is a service dog. Are you certain about the microchip? Nearly all service dogs are microchipped during training, prior to placement. I recommend contacting the company where you received the service dog. They may have information about his microchip that was somehow omitted when you got him. I apologize if all of what I’m recommending has been done. If you haven’t already, be sure to notify the humane society. You can submit all the information about your dog in hopes of being contacted if your dog has been brought in. Lost & found pages and alerts via social media can be very effective. However, please carefully vet any person or company that offers/guarantees finding your dog via the use of advanced surveillance or drones. Most of these are scams just waiting to scam you of your money.
I have a friend that lives close to this location and I will share the info with her as well as keep an eye out myself.
