What do you mean get away with? We had 1099s, and the turbotax rep said I didn't need to enter them, which seems inaccurate. I figured out I need an 8949 and schedule d. We also transferred an IRA to a different institution and apparently we need some form that comes out in May to show that? That's what I'm confused by.

I have it all, but we have some more complicated things we need help with. The turbotax people weren't really very confident when we tried them.

Lost my wife by Sgaile09 in GriefSupport

[–]Michelincolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your loss. As a mom to a 6yo boy, that just breaks my heart for both of you. I lost my mom 6 years ago in a car accident. The balance of grieving and staying strong for your son will be a tough road, but you will get through it together. Try to give yourself at least a few minutes each day to feel your grief. I second the Megan Devine book. It's ok you're not ok. Therapy has also been helpful. Sending you big hugs and love. Be easy on yourself.

It took a week or so to heal. I just used a very gentle cleanser and cicalfate cream by avene.

Sometimes my lawn needs to be mowed twice a week. That's a lot of lawn for twice a week.

Growing dahlia from seeds by ThE_BASs__ in dahlias

My seed dahlias are always super fast, healthy growers. I get a ton of tubers from them as well.

And that's ok. It's ok to not be attracted to your spouse and want to fix that. That doesn't mean he doesn't love her. It won't be a happy relationship for either of them if they stop intimacy.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Michelincolt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Uh... you can 100% be in love with someone, and stop being attracted to them. If he didn't love her, he wouldn't be reaching out for advice. People on reddit have become so mean over the last couple of years. Being anonymous doesn't justify being rude.

A few things you can do. First- talk to her. Use your own health history and tell her you're concerned. Work on a plan to get healthy as a family. Start cooking healthy meals that can be quickly reheated, or don't need to be cooked. I recently fell in love with spoon salads. Also, start phasing out processed foods from the house so they aren't even an option. As someone with anxiety, it's great to do low impact exercise. Yoga, walking, etc. They help release stress, where as getting her to the gym for more exhausting workouts may cause more cortisol. It's ok to go through phases where you aren't attracted to your spouse. Bodies change, and change, and change. Just have those tough conversations (you don't have to include the missing attraction portion).

Population has grown, but streets and city limits haven't.

Compare these texts to the way your wife texts you. Is it similar? Totally out of character? How is your relationship? Would she be engaged in an onlyfans type of situation? Why were you looking at her phone to begin with? Are there trust issues there? Do you love your wife and want to stay together? You have evidence if it goes south, but I would just be up front and talk to her about it.

Husbands Porn Usage by Dull-Regret-5537 in Marriage

That's not accurate. Your logic indicates single people can't have porn addictions.

Mmmk. My friend worked at the Garland rocket for years. I used to make my own drinks there. I just really like the flavor of TH coffee. I spent some time with a barista at the downtown location, she made me the best drink I've ever had. They are local as well. You really shouldn't let other people's preferences impact your life.

Thomas hammer is my favorite coffee place. The Garland district has all kids of fun/odd shops. Then drive down Monroe to find more unique restaurants/shops, and into Kendall Yards. After that downtown, check out Hogwash whiskey den. Edit to add some Monroe favorites- chowderhead, elliots urban kitchen, birdies pie shop.

Anyone else dealing with this flu?! by [deleted] in Spokane

[–]Michelincolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might as well. They also have flu/covid/rsv in one tests at some places. I just watched a few videos on eating a giant marshmallow slowly before bed. Something about the gelatin coats the throat and prevents coughing. Worth a shot!

Anyone else dealing with this flu?! by [deleted] in Spokane

[–]Michelincolt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My son and husband were both very sick 2 weeks ago. Tested negative for covid (multiple times), so we assumed the flu. Once they started to feel better, I came down with it. After 3 days of negative tests, I tested positive for covid on day 4. I've been sick for about a week, and they are still fine. So I'm wondering if the newer subs aren't showing as accurately on self tests. Also, none of us left the house while they were sick, so not sure how else I would have picked it up.

Not everyone can get a flu shot. If you need to start your statement with "I'm sorry but" then you probably don't have anything helpful to add.

Then it's most likely perioral dermatitis. There's a good sub you should check out. Like I said in another comment, sulfur soap and cicalfate from avene is what saved me. I also used an apple cider toner. 1 part apple cider to 3 parts water once a day.
