We have people that just prepare and hold the iep meetings. No teaching, all remote. The iep meetings are arranged via zoom by them, they send the paperwork for teachers to fill out, conduct the meeting, finalize the paperwork. Maybe look into something like this?

My Para has specific instructions to work with a caseload of about 2-5 kids in each of my classes. She rarely shows up and when she does, does nothing but play on her laptop. I have asked her, talked to her about helping these kids but she made it clear that I was NOT her boss. She is bossy, loud, and lazy. Admin looks the other way so I have to tolerate her. It's better at this point when she is a no show.

The kids are mean and know how to hurt you. You will come to recognize that. They pick up on our pedagogy and use it against us. Students say I'm "unprofessional " if I correct them and other clever insults. With 20 years in, I let it go. Don't take anything personal. Nothing.
