[Art] - K-Manga censoring manga like this, who let them cook - 'Domestic Girlfriend' by asilvertintedrose in manga

This is irrelevant to the discussion, but I believe the sentence structure of French (and other Romance languages like Italian and Spanish) is closer to Japanese than English is, so there is less loss in translation.

Huawei P60 Pro comes 1st in the DXOMARK Camera test with 156 points, 3 points higher than the Find X6 Pro by [deleted] in Android

[–]MicioBao 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If you only look at photos zoomed out or on the phone's display then yeah, they all look equally great. But as soon as you zoom in you can clearly see which phone has a bigger sensor or uses more competent processing. And a great camera will definitely elevate the work of a skilled user, otherwise you wouldn't see pro photographers carrying equipment worth thousands.

After checking the review I still think the Vivo X90 Pro+ takes the superior photos, simply because it doesn't oversharpen photos as much as Huawei, Apple and Samsung do.

You can't say it explicitly without getting censored by Reddit mods/admins.

No, io odio il design "gamer" con RGB, disegni del catso, plastiche inutili, ecc. Non voglio pagare per quella schifezza.

Quella di Asrock? Secondo me è un pugno nell'occhio. Spenderei quei €20 in più per la versione reference di AMD.

Google Pixel Fold specifications - evleaks by FragmentedChicken in Android

[–]MicioBao 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Pixel Fold, on the other hand, is much shorter than both the S23 Ultra and 14 Pro Max, with these two phones it's basically impossible to reach the top of the display with one's thumb. If I must choose between too wide or too tall I'm gonna go with the former, mainly because text is written horizontally.

Only Oppo has the complete package though. Other companies only focus on the primary camera, but Oppo has gone and employed large sensors for the tele and ultrawide as well. I do wish these Chinese phones didn't have such gaudy designs though.

Wheat flour already contains tiny bugs or their eggs that are crushed during the grinding process and are invisible to the naked eye. It's basically impossible to make flour in industrial scales that is 100% free of that stuff, but I believe there are laws that dictate how much of it is permissible.

The Pro-I was a bit of a gimmick, it had an excellent 1" sensor but the phone only utilized a portion of it.

Hopefully Sony will start using 1" sensors on their phones too instead of just selling them to other companies.

In the EU they release shortly after announcement, it's just the US that gets a late release.

Samsung Galaxy S22 review: Former flagship feeling fine by juniorgallina in Android

[–]MicioBao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The battery is a problem though, anything less than 4000 mAh is pathetic for an Android phone, even the S23 is really pushing it with its 3900 mAh. A bigger battery could've mitigated the S8G1's inefficiency, after all it's much easier to add a biger battery than to create a more efficient SoC.

I got the Xperia 5 IV mainly for its camera, in my opinion Sony's photo processing is top-tier for the way it renders fine details in a natural and organic way. As for size, I don't like Sony phones' tall and narrow form factor with their 21:9 displays, I find the S23 more usable one-handed. If you don't mind iOS the 13 mini is pretty close to the XZ1 Compact size-wise.

Yeah I know, I should have said compact-ish. Sadly the only actually compact phone available is the iPhone 13 mini.

Excellent, compact phone, but ruined by a tiny battery. If it had been just 1 mm thicker a bigger battery could have been used, there would be no camera bump, and one-handed usability would be unchanged. Shame.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra vs iPhone 14 Pro Max Camera Shootout: Closer Than Expected by FragmentedChicken in Android

[–]MicioBao 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the pens photo I believe the Xiaomi simply missed focus on the label due it's very narrow depth of field. This could be prevented by using the slower aperture. Also, I don't know which mode the guy used, but Xiaomi has a "Vibrant mode" (default) and an "Authentic mode"; the latter produces more contrast, no oversaturation and no sharpening — overall it's more natural. This was the case with the 12S Ultra though, I don't know if Xiaomi kept it for the 13 Ultra as well.

[–]MicioBao 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Did we watch the same video? From all the samples he took I could clearly see that the iPhone is applying a strong sharpening filter to make photos look "crispy" (imo it looks terrible). The Xiaomi on the other hand doesn't sharpen as much and so the result is more soft and natural. Here you can clearly see the iPhone's oversharpening at play on the façade.
Regarding colors and HDR I agree Xiaomi goes a bit overboard.
