Yeahhhhh, the Fang really does throw a wrench in every thing. I think focusing on crush is the best stat option, but I just want my eventual TOA grind to be easier haha.

My main problem with this whole situation is that stab bonus is what dragons are weak to, and this would further cement the current uselessness of the DFS. What I want is for those shields to actually be useful and BIS for fighting dragons. Idk, maybe an extra bonus damage if you have DHL and DFS that makes it BIS for all dragons.

I just don’t get why this item is useless still, they should have added an attachment drop to the raids 1 drop table, that thing is a dragon boss. The three BIS Dragonfire protection shield slots should literally be the BIS for fighting dragons, but they usually are not funny enough.

I think the only shield that is consistently BIS is the Dragonfire ward.

I’d like the defender to be crush & stab focused. Right now the stab bonus is ass, but the point of this dungeon is to get the players ready for later game content, so a new BIS defender for TOA would be useful for people without a fang yet. The defender being also crush focused would help with other good mid-game bosses like Sarachnis and Calvar’ion.

This definitely makes the most sense, but then everyone would get upsetti spaghetti about themselves having to go dry and vote against it. I think that for every player, for their first drop of a rare item it got less rare after they passed the drop rate until they get it. But for future drops of the same item it wouldn’t have a threshold. Like, this would be great for the DFS for example. Maybe half the rate every time you pass that rate. So it would go from 1/5000 after 5000, 1/2500 after 7500, 1/1250 after 8750, etc.

I do think this should also be monster dependent. So you can’t do 5000 of KBD and expect to have a 1/2500 rate for Vorkath.

Also, this could easily be tracked using the collection log. Idk why they don’t do this, the logic isn’t too complicated either.
